More about the hotel
Felt safe for an overnight stay
Conveniently located off Rte. 81, the hotel provided a good overnight stay for us. Restaurants and gas stations are nearby. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and recommended a restaurant from which we could order a pizza and have it delivered to our room. Unfortunately with the threat of COVID-19, the hotel couldn't be at its best with a focus on being safe which we appreciated. Masks were worn by employees, and the room sanitized. However, I did bring my own Lysol and wipes as backup. There were plenty of outlets for device charging. The breakfast area was closed, and To Go bags available. Coffee was served behind the reception desk, and since I wanted decaf, I used the Keurig pot in the room. Additional amenities were closed. We felt safe in the hotel and would stay there again.
Terribly Overrated! Front Desk Absent Except for Checkin
Stayed here on road north from Florida in early June. Of five properties we stayed in on the way, this was by far the worst of the lot. No effort to even brew fresh coffee in the morning, was told the 2 K-cups and powdered milk in the room was breakfast. We ordered delivery for dinner (had no choice) and even then, no one appeared at the front desk. Might as well stay in the adjacent Red Roof or Motel 6. This is not a nice part of town. And checking out, no one at the front desk... probably because all who were traveling in this period knew better. Pick another hotel. This place could care less bout you. Awful!
Perfect hotel, perfect stay
What are the things that I look for in a hotel? I expect a hotel to live up to its promises, and don't judge a 3-star hotel by 5-star standards and this hotel lived up to its promise. Do I feel safe in the hotel, can I get a good night's sleep, how is the water pressure, can the temperature be readily controlled, does the internet work well. For this hotel, I felt secure in my person and my belongings throughout the trip, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning was easily managed to keep the room comfortable. The internet worked well. Water pressure was acceptable but no more. I'm not sure if it was the local water pressure, being on an upper floor, or just the outlet, but the pressure was not strong. However, the room was very clean, the desk service was excellent, and the hotel was all that was expected. Due to health concerns, the usual buffet was unavailable and the dining room was closed. A minimal snack was offered and with a Keurig in the room, coffee was not an issue. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, now open, and a Dunkin Donuts within walking distance. Eating is not an issue. I can unreservedly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.
Very good value, again
We stayed here going south last fall and now going back up north. The desk personnel was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and very clean. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. We recommend.
ALWAYS A JOY TO STAY HERE
This is our go-to place to stay when visiting family in Chambersburg. We stayed there between Christmas and New Year's. Their staff is exceptional...Brittany was able to give us 2 queen suites instead of a 2 queen rooms for a pretty good rate...right next to each other. Their beds are new so they are super comfortable. Their pool was warm so my granddaughter was in her element. As usual, the entire hotel is spotless. Travis, another front desk employee,is always friendly and helpful. Close to I81 and plenty of restaurants nearby, some within walking distance. No complaints.
