Perfect
While the weather was subpar we enjoyed the fabulous private spa. The owners were kind and helpful. The room was perfect with a comfortable bed (though i didn't prefer the pillows). The balcony view was the best. We couldn't have asked for more
Beware of the Gardener
We were excited to return to this hotel to take a quick photo with our two children. We came here for our honeymoon in 2006. We spent 15 minutes snapping a quick picture when we were met by a cranky man attempting to clean up the overgrown gardens. We were shocked when the threatened us with a pitch fork and told us we should have “asked for permission” to take a photo. We have stayed in the finest hotels around the world and have never “asked for permission” to take a family photo. The hotel needs to fire this gardener because he is clearly mentally ill.
Gorgeous views, lovely room
My husband and I loved out stay off season in this gem of a place. We had an end room with windows and views on two sides, were greeted with a plate of fruit and nuts and water, appreciated the cleanliness of the room. Watched the final of the Women's world cup on the room TV and had a blast! Off season this was a good value, and I would come here again.
amazing views!
we stayed here for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. their website didn't have great descriptions or photos of rooms. we booked the largest (and most expensive) suite thinking it would be the nicest with best views. turns out it's more like it's own little chateau and the views, while wonderful, weren't quite the same as the main hotel building rooms (plus we didn't need all the space and kitchen). they were very accommodating and moved us to a room in the main hotel building. the views are to die for. just amazing! the hotel is on the hill with unobstructed views and it's absolutely breathtaking. it is peaceful and wonderful. the breakfast in the morning was a typical French breakfast, and included pastries, cheese, meat, yogurt etc. we'd recommend this hotel!
Picture Perfect
Stayed for 4 nights. Location, location is first class, a view from every angle. Truly peaceful. The climb up the hill is the only downfall ... it is incredibly steep. We didn't have a car so had to walk, but there is parking. There is a café along near the Brevent cablecar which we used as a halfway point. Our room was perfect and our fruit bowl was topped up each day, a lovely touch. As were the two little homemade chocolates each night on our pillow. No bar to relax in the evening but plenty choice in Chamonix so no real need for it. We made use of the Jacuzzi and sauna on two afternoons when we returned ... you book exclusive use of these. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We bought a 3 day multi-pass for the ski lifts and made full use of these. There is a bus at the bottom of the hill, for 3 euros, you can travel up and down the valley to catch other ski lifts. The Alps in the summertime were stunning.
