We are BEYOND impressed with this resort!! From the moment we checked in, we knew we had found our piece of heaven!
The pool… or should I say, POOLS, are WONDERFUL! There is plenty of space, chairs, and umbrellas, and no sooner had I chosen a seat, when I was approached by a member of the pool staff who offered us a pitcher of water. We found the drink prices VERY reasonable for a resort of this caliber. A bucket of beer (both domestic and imports) was only $30 for 6 beers. We have stayed at resorts where pool bar prices were much higher. The mixed drinks were delicious and so was the food from the pool area restaurant (get the nachos!). There is a big waterside, fun for both kids and adults. The young lady pool attendants arranged for a cannonball contest… for kids AND adults! Our 14 year old was impressed that her dad and mom both won. SO MUCH FUN!!!
The lobby…OH THE LOBBY!! A 3-story tall rock waterfall, with gorgeous painted ceiling and the most tranquil, Native American pan flute music everywhere you go. (I bought the CD when we left). One side of the ‘rock waterfall’ had a hidden Starbucks and on the other side was an alcove with a bar, fireplace and where the Fri/Sat. live entertainment was held. Some nights we would bring books down and just relax in this tranquil area. WONDERFUL!
The room… LOVELY! Very spacious, clean, updated, and comfortable. It has a refrigerator and Starbucks coffee machine. The bathroom was again spacious, immaculate and had a separate shower and bathtub.
The shuttle to the casino… quick and friendly. The valets offered us a bottle of water while we waited. Our shuttle driver, Dennis, even gave us his cell phone number so that we could call him directly when we were done at the casino. Very cool.
The best for last… THE STAFF!! We were eager to tell every employee how happy we were with our stay and to compliment them on different facets of the resort. Each one responded with such gratitude, that you’d think you were complimenting their cooking! They clearly took personal pride in our satisfaction, and it was clear that their pride in their work resulted in the fabulous experience we had. I can honestly say that it is the BEST customer service we have ever experienced in a North American hotel!
The only negative… we were not entirely impressed with the restaurant (aside from the pool bar food). It seemed a bit pricey and wasn’t that noteworthy, but again, the waitstaff and the employees made it an enjoyable experience.
NO DOUBT, WE WILL BE BACK and will continue to speak of this resort with HIGH PRAISE!

- Facilities (beautiful grounds, peaceful, relaxing, great pool).
- Really nice fragrance when you enter lobby,
- Staff very pleasant
- restaurants are nice, however, the menus have been scaled back too much…very limited offerings.
- great entry sequence — long windy two lane road into hotel is beautiful; when you arrive at the hotel you feel like you’ve been transported to another world.
- golf course
- no vending machines for that midnight snack, although the front desk had a couple things at 12:30 am, including a nice yogurt and fruit parfet.

For many years I thought this was one of the Valley's underrated resorts but after this most recent stay I don't think we will be going back. We chose this resort partially for its proximity to Tucson and partially for it's great pool area and waterslide. Upon arrival we found out that the waterslide and one or more pools would be closed for our entire visit. We had received ZERO warning of this prior to arrival. We unquestionably would have cancelled our stay had the hotel been responsible and notified us of this closure, which began several days before our arrival.
The other complaint I had was about noise in the hallways at all hours. The first night of our stay, people were talking boisterously in the hallway until 4am. In fairness to the hotel, the front desk did make an effort to relocate us the next night but the distances from some rooms (like the ones we were offered) to the lobby and pools are vast and moving would be been impractical for a family with kids who don't want to trek down hallway after hallway.
Hopefully in the future management will be more responsible and ethical and inform guests of trip-ruining news like the waterslide and pool closures.
A resort hotel worth the visit.

This great trip started when we pulled up with the valet Nathan advising us that he could take our golf clubs & transfer them to the golf course for our game the next day, so nice not to have to worry about lugging them around. Then we were greeted by Margaret at checkin who recognized that we were Elite members with Marriott & gave us a great friendly welcome. They had upgraded us to a suite which was large & overlooking the golf course, swimming pool & & beautiful South Mountains. The property is beautiful with numerous food & bar venues, several large swimming pools with a water slide. We ate breakfast at KoSin & had outstanding service from Rachael & Alex, they were able to accommodate our request for a quick breakfast as we had an early tee time. There was also drink tasting in the main Bar in the evening & again excellent service from another Alex the bartender who went above & beyond to secure us some snacks with our drinks. Everyone we met was so accommodating & helpful. The property & room was very clean , due to COVID rules we did not request Houskeeping. We did utilize the free shuttle from the hotel to the Casino, Outlet Mall & Golf Course. We will definitely be back to enjoy another relaxing mini vacation at the Sheraton.
