All I can say is that my stay was pleasant. The room/bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable.
I had a hiccup with my reservation and staff worked through the issue with me all the way. Every time I thought I would hit resistance, they exceeded expectations by truly assisting me through getting the issue resolved.
Breakfast is still in COVID mode, so expect continental breakfast, not hot.

Absolutely foul, dangerous, inexcusable. The giant insect we found was one thing, the lack of bedding for the couch bed, the no parking spaces, whatever. Not great but endurable.
But my husband almost stabbed his hand on a USED HYPO in the coffee area. What the ever-living heck??? It means the room was obviously not cleaned before we got it, else they would have seen it. So, a dirty room with a dirty needle. Come on, Comfort Suites. This is beyond the pale. Never, never, never staying here or any other Comfort Suite again.

We were visiting family in Charlotte and this hotel provided everything we needed for a great stay. Staff was very courteous and room was clean. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit in the area.
Worst hotel experience of our lives

Full disclosure: I’m writing this review on only 4 hours of sleep, because that is how much I was able to get at this horrible hotel. We checked in yesterday, and came back to change around 6PM. There were fire trucks and police swarming the place. They told us there was someone suicidal inside roaming the hotel with guns and advised us not to go in. We got the impression this type of thing is not rare for this hotel. As we were waiting, we saw a crack pipe on the ground right next to the entrance. We had dinner plans, so we had to leave and come back that night. We got about 4 hours of sleep and were awoken by excessively loud bass thumping music at 3am. We called the front desk, they said they would look into it. After about 30 mins, we called again. They said they were “unable to locate which room it was”. We started smelling cigarette smoke coming in through our vents.The music continued all the way up to us leaving early at 8am and is still going on as I type this. We have actually been to this hotel before and it was fine, but never again. We had friends staying in other rooms as well. We’ll find out this morning if their stay was as awful as ours.
Wouldn't let him in, room key didn't work, no one is trained at night!

They would not let our employee in after working all day and trying to check in exhausted at Midnight! I booked via ChoiceHotels.com using HIS Choice Hotels Privileges CC with HIS name on it AND PREPAID. We put his name in the special request notes as the guest (because the account is in my name). Our company is Diamond a tier member on choicehotels.com bc we book SO MANY hotels for our techs. They wouldn't let him in! It took 30 minutes of back and forth with him and me in VA to finally get them to realize he was supposed to be able to stay. Then the room key they gave him didn't work so he had to go back down stairs and get it re-done. When he did, they told him he had to sign paperwork for a $75 bill and he told them no, this is already paid for. They told him to get a new key he needed to sign this. I called back to the front desk for them to admit they just FORGOT to get him to sign it the first time while dealing with the whole debacle of not knowing Comfort Inn or Choice Hotels Guest Policy. The front desk clerk said she was not trained properly, was sick of how no one knows what is going on and what the rules are, and she was going to leave now from her shift and not return. It is 1AM as I write this because I am so upset at how he was mistreated and for NO apparent reason, as we did everything right. :=(
