More about the hotel
Awesome People!
After a hard day of airline travel and two re-routes, we settled down here and so glad we did! So glad! First there was Monica at the front desk. She went above and beyond on everything! Fantastic! And then there was LaToya who made our night with her beautiful smile and friendly demeanor—she couldn’t do enough for us—as she was the bartender and the waitress—and handled her room like a boss! She was taking care of a lot of people, but you couldn’t tell because she was so fast and efficient! The food was very good and a hot strong shower was icing on the cake! Short stay and will stay here again! Absolutely! The people are everything—they got this right!
I love these hotels
The room was clean and big the ro was separate from bedroom which I loved . Breakfast down stairs was awesome . A nd thru gave us a free drink ticket for the bar and agent was very nice and close to dt
COVID distressed?
Has COVID taken its toll on the place--the physical place and the operation of the place--or has the hotel just really gone downhill? Room needed some work (e.g., dripping faucet, non-working outlet), and overall, the place needs a facelift. No restaurant/bar, due to COVID, although they do give you a bag breakfast (danish, granola bar, piece of fruit, coffee, juice) and there's a tiny store in the lobby, with wine, beer, and snacks. Gym not open, even though NC Governor reopened gyms in the state before we arrived; pool not open due to COVID. Happy they're still running shuttle but doubt it gets disinfected.
Worst stay ever
Please don’t stay here , the hot water didn’t work . When we got in the room the tub was dirty ! The sheets had red stains on them . The housekeeping is horrible ! Please don’t stay here ! It was horrible
Has seen better days
Let me summarize this and say this was only my 2nd trip during the pandemic for work, and 1st out of town, however 2 short nights at this Embassy Suites had me longing to get back to my work from home comforts. The wifi connection was spotty unless sitting in the lobby of the hotel, and rooms decor was dated (think late 90s). The cleanliness of the room was lacking too - upon checking in, a sink had a couple pieces of hair from the prior guest visible. Bedroom was stuffy at night because the AC barely worked. I could go on, but there's no reason to continue. There are plenty of options in the area, especially right now, that are affordable and have plenty of occupancy.
