Stayed here for a business meeting and overnight stay. Meeting room - We were told the meeting room was all set up for us but there was no cable or plug to the TV screen, went and asked for a cable and my colleagues had to physically man handle the TV off the wall to connect. Also staff seemed quite confused about us wanting to use the screen to present in a meeting room – not sure what the meeting rooms are usually used for?! - No HDMI cable, stole one from the meeting room next door but it was so chewed up it wouldn’t connect. Finally got a replacement which was temperamental so eventually gave up and just tried to manage presenting with laptops - Break facilities very poor, had coffee topped up in the morning then ignored for the rest of the day. One very small and sad plate of pastries were classed as the breakfast provided which was £7 per person. This is an absolute scam as there wasn’t even two mini pastries each on the plate. - No central plugs, only a couple around the outside of the room so had to request an extension cable - Hole in the door where the handle used to be so not a private room and no security for leaving bags over lunch. In the afternoon the hall outside was being hoovered and was very noisy and distracting (due to hole in door) - Lunch was a joke, one small plate of very beige sandwiches and small amount of extras (photo attached), had to order extra food as there was no way this would have fed three of us Bedroom/hotel - There is no aircon in the bedrooms or restaurant and it was one of the hottest days of the year, very uncomfortable - room was nice and big with a balcony and bed was comfy - restaurant was only serving three dishes with no prices attached and staff couldn't tell us the costs. We moved to the lounge where there were more options and prices available. - ordered a rose wine and had to explain to the staff member that it was different to red wine as she was unaware of this and tried to charge for red wine at twice the cost - room had been paid for in advance but the reception staff wouldn't accept this and tried to charge twice for the room, had to show them emailed proof of payment before they reluctantly accepted this - coffee machine was broken in the room so we informed reception who arrange for it to be looked at and it was confirmed that it was indeed broken. This was replaced by another broken coffee machine and at this point we just gave up and tried to make the best of a terrible stay.

We booked a spa weekend break inc,used room, dinner and breakfast use of pool for an hour and two spa treatments. We arrived early to have lunch a bottle of prosecco was £33 and two rounds Of sandwiches very basic came to £58! The tables were dirty and the one staff member on the bar didn't want to open the prosecco! The pool area was not clean the beds had cloth pads on that were wet through the pool roof had peeling flaking paint and at ni time did anyone come in to clean. Toilets were out of use and lots of lockers in the changing room were broken The spa area was lovely very clean relaxing and the spa staff very professional. Our rom was dull drab and dark and the windows were filthy. The tea/coffee had not been replenished and there was no hotel information booklet available the room however was clean. The dining room table had no condiments and we were served by young people who did not appear to have any clue who was doing what we had to ask if we could order a drink we ordered two aperol spritz cocktails at £9.00 each which arrived in a 3/4 full wine glass no ice no garnish (should be served with orange) was weak and appeared just to be aperol and soda no prosecco! Our meal choice was limited to 3 starters 3 mains we had a Luke warm fish cake and some wilted lettuce to start and a tagliatelle that appeared to be warmed up and tasted of cheap margarine. We did not attempt a sweet! Very disappointed we went back to our room and ate snacks we had brought with us. Breakfast was on another level ... tables left dirty had to fins someone to clean a table the tea and coffee was ready made in large urns fruit juice was in open top jugs stuck on top of the bar. The breakfast was queue up where you could be served with Luke warm ingredients we took one slug of coffee which tasted vile walked out got our bags and left. We found a lovely Lakeside Cafe 9 miles away and had a fabulous fresh home cooked breakfast sat outside in the sunshine. Would we go back again ..... not if we were offered it free! Award winning restaurant I don't think so .... luxury rooms ... definitely not.... 4 star hotel absolutely no way.

Could be a 5 out of 5 but…….. 😡young kids bused in from Manchester running the place without any experience or training 😡young kids forgetting drinks order and poor service at dinner time 😡Covid measures poor with buffet operating at breakfast tome with long queues forming 😡breakfast hash brown was like a brick 😡breakfast ran out of big plates and cups-felt sorry for young kids running the place 😀reception staff very good 😀food a good quality when arrived 😀golf ⛳️great -two nice courses 😀rooms spacious

My family booked us on a mid week driver for my 75th birthday their was 4 of us and we reserved a buggy for our rounds of golf, we checked in the staff were 1st class when we went to the Premier course we were told we could not use buggies as there had been too much rain, as we had not taken our own buggies we said had they any electric trolleys we could use and they said we could hire electric trolleys at a cost of £25 we said that was rediculous as the buggies were £35 which meant we was paying £100 to hire the trolleys against £70 for the buggies, we didn’t have much choice as we could not carry our bags, we complained and they did them for £20 which was still extortionate overall the stay was very good the food was excellent, would go again but would not pay there trolleys a lesson to be learned is take your own trollies

I was surprised to read the recent negative comments on this hotel as it did not reflect our experience at all. We stayed one night on a b&b deal in a deluxe room and we had absolutely nothing to complain about. The girls on reception were friendly and professional and checked us in promptly. The deluxe room we had was large with a huge bed, the bathroom was also big with both a bath and roomy separate shower cubicle. Towels were large and fluffy and there were Elemis toiletries. The bedroom area also had 2 comfy armchairs and a footstool. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was also fine. Because of COVID you need to book a breakfast slot the day before to ensure that there are not too many people in the restaurant at the same time. It's still a full English buffet breakfast but you now tell server what you want and he/she will plate it all up for you for you yo take back to your table. You can revisit as many times as you like. The food was hot and tasty and we found nothing to complain about. So all in all we had a good stay. Yes, the staff are all young but they knew what they were doing and were very friendly.
