Last minute wedding block - AMAZING customer service
We worked with Sarah Becker for our wedding block. At the last minute our original hotel was shut down and Sarah stepped in to make it possible for our guests to have a seamless transition to the Courtyard Marriott. Sarah and the entire staff were amazing to work with throughout the entire process. She worked to ensure our guests had the equivalent room they originally booked as well as the equivalent parking amount. She truly went above and beyond to make sure everything we needed was taken care of - from the bridal prep room to the grooms get ready room to the table outside the bridal suite for breakfast and lunch to be put on - the entire weekend was amazing and our guests all raved about the service Sarah and Robert provided. Many thanks! 5 starts from us and we will always recommend this hotel going forward.
Don’t stay here!
This hotel has been our go to hotel for years! We stayed for one night on our way through and will never stay again. We got to our room and it was bare. It had two queen beds and only three bath towels (there were 4 in our party). No coffee pot, no cups, no information on city or hotel. We had to go downstairs to lobby for ice and then had no ice bucket to put it in so we had to use sink and someone had to hold the ice bag so the sink could be used. Also there was only a partial roll of toilet paper, no extra roll in room. Had to go to lobby to get it. The little shampoo bottle had been used by the previous guest and put back on sink with conditioner. No lotion or any other amenities that are normally there. The pay per view movies were discontinued as well as Netflix option. Very basic and minimal cable choices. Overall very unsatisfactory! Only good thing I can say was that the front desk clerks were friendly. I will not stay there again. I would give zero stars if that was an option.
VERY BAD
They don t clean up your room until you check out! Cafeteria ,Bar and Gym closed. Only bottles of water in the mini Market. You should close temporarily if you are going to care more about your employees than about your customers !!!
Last Minute MAGICAL Stay
On a whim, we decided to stay the night in Chicago on our drive from Baltimore to Madison. We have five kids and were not sure we’d be able to find a hotel with a good set-up for us. The manager went above and beyond for our family making it the most magical stay we will remember forever. Beautiful rooms! High floor! Free upgrade to an adjoining room so we could even have extra space and sleep separately from our kids. I couldn’t have been more surprised and overwhelmed by their kindness and consideration for our family’s comfort. Especially during this time of Covid, we were unsure if this was a good choice to stop for the night. It turns out that it was the best choice thanks to the manager and the front desk and engineering staff, all who were extremely helpful. We felt very safe as all the people we encountered in the hotel and city were also masked. Also, the walk to the navy pier for dinner was short and easy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!! It made all the difference to our family.
Safety first
Given what Chicago O'Hare was like the weekend of March 13, 2020 the fact that Marriot Bonvoy didn't honor the promised refund is very disappointing. I hope the night's stay was worth it because as a member I can promise I will never stay at one of your hotels again.
