Safety concerns

Reviewed 20 may, 2022

On my second night there was a knock on my hotel room door at 3 AM. At 4:45 AM there was another knock on my door. I called the front desk and was told they would investigate it. The next day I advised a manager named Chase who said he would notify the hotel manager named Dino. I mentioned to the front desk staff that they have video cameras everywhere. They indicated that someone accessed the stairwell. Having key card access only in the elevator isn’t protecting the guests. I never heard from the hotel manager that day or since returning home. This is a huge safety issue.

Huge 2 room suite

Reviewed 15 may, 2022

The room was very large - in fact it was 2 rooms - a bedroom & living room. The bed was comfortable. The location was great and the price was reasonable, with no "resort fee". I booked a queen but we were given a king. We used the bike share which was nearby. (By the hospital, in front of a great breakfast place, though I think they do lunch & dinner as well). Don't hesitate to book this hotel, especially if you get a good deal.

Large rooms but missing the important details

Reviewed 4 may, 2022

We appreciated the very large room size for a 3 day stay. The room itself needs some furniture replacement and repair. The shower leaks a bit on the floor Bathroom floors need to be thoroughly washed not just vacuumed. They are very dirty! I did not want to walk barefoot anywhere. The towels for such a hotel should be plush and larger- they are not The sitting area has a couch that is in a sad state and needs to be replaced and the desk area has significant scuffs (see pics) Most of all, the info in the room was out of date leading us to believe there was no room service or breakfast availability except for weekends. We found this out at the end of our second day when we were told by the person downstairs that now she understood why she wasn’t getting guests. Finally, the person at the desk did not know Chicago and could not provide us assistance in finding cabs, POI or food.

Beware!

Reviewed 19 april, 2022

I really tried to be patient and lenient with the management of this hotel, and not give a negative review. First and foremost, this is a lovely hotel. The rooms are very spacious and quiet, but unfortunately I will not be staying here again and I will not recommend. Upon checkin, we were overcharged $700 for our stay. When I inquired about the charge, the overnight associate was clueless and unhelpful so I asked the manager on duty the next day. She said the charge was due to a system glitch and she processed a refund, however, the refund amount was incorrect. I also ordered the romance package for my fiancé’s birthday. They called the morning of and asked what time I’d like them to set up our room. The time came and went….and the romance package was never delivered. When I inquired, the front desk person seemed surprised so I guess they forgot. Bummer, but whatever. The next day they were apologetic and told me they would also process a refund for the package. We checked out of the hotel two weeks ago and I still haven’t gotten either of the promised refunds. I have called my bank to check if it was pending, and my bank has not received anything. I have called the hotel numerous times to speak with management and have either been transferred to voicemail or been told I would get a call back, but I haven’t gotten a call yet. This hotel could have been a winner with me, but the management and logistics are terrible. BEWARE!

Great spot in Chicago

Reviewed 2 march, 2022

Loved this hotel in the heart of Chicago. Easy to get everywhere and the room was great! Could have used more/bigger blankets for the colder nights and also definitely needs some robes for after a soak in the nice big tub. Thanks Amanda for checking me in and pleasantly helping me out!
