Good location for a very average hotel
The stay was not too bad...My colleague made the booking and he said that it was very reasonably priced. It was in a good central location, however my room was pretty small. The bathroom was a bit dated and in need of a facelift, I could not use the fan in the bathroom as it sounded like a jumbo jet taking off. Also, the shower was warn rather than hot and the tap dripped constantly without rally forcing the valve shut. I think an 3 star average rating is ok
DO NOT STAY HERE!! I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!! I booked a block of rooms for a birthday party and it was a Disaster!! I had no heat or hot water in my suite that cost $400.00 a night! All of my guest had issues with their rooms. One of the rooms actually flooded! Not to mention the treatment of the staff. I had to call the front desk 4 times! Once someone finally showed up nothing was addressed. I was told that it would make to much noise to fix the issues and it would have to be completed AFTER CHECK OUT! I have been waiting on a return phone from the Manager Laura for over a week now. Every time i call the front desk i am given the run around. I am told that the all the managers are in a meeting and no one is available to handle the situation. They then state someone will give me a call which never happens!!
The room was super cold, heat wasn't working. The room was not clean. Was also given a handicap room with a very short toilet. Was not a good experience us. I would not Recommend this hotel to anyone.
This hotel has some terrible reviews, but I didn’t experience any of the bad things that are being said. I was here for NYE 2019 to ring in 2020 in the city with my girlfriend and the room was nice and cozy and I didn’t have a lot of issues. Although, the bathroom was a little unique with the toilet being very close to the wall and kind of hard to sit at. The hotel gets 4 stars because the parking was outrageously overpriced at $67 and we had to wait about 1 hour for the car to be pulled around when we were checked out. Overall, the hotel is fine.
Please please stay away from this Hotel
We arrived late evening for a three night stay at this hotel . We were greeted by an unhelpful reception guy , told that we had to Pay $45 to cover the cost of coffee and bottled water in our room . I said what if we don’t drink coffee and do not want to drink the warm bottled water do we still have to pay , is reply yes ! I then asked about previous reviews about this hotel ( which I read whilst on the plane . Only wish I read them before agreeing to book ) regarding bedbugs is reply was “ yes we do have them but only in the summer “. I was mortified by this . We were given our room key , on entering the lifts there was a strong odour of cannabis , to the point I felt physically sick , we then exited the lift to be greeted by an even stronger odour of cannabis. I went down to reception to complain about the smell of Cannabis and was told by receptionist that it is legal in this country and what people do In their rooms is their business . I said this is supposed to be a non smoking hotel , I was just laughed at . On entering our room , well where do I start , it hadn’t been cleaned floor was full of bits of debris . As you can imagine by this time my stress levels were raising , it was getting late and we had been travelling all day . All I wanted was a good nights sleep , well fully clothed on the bed with no sleep . The next morning I seeked assistance to be moved to another hotel by our tour rep , which we could at a cost , this I didn’t budget for and tremont would not refund our money . A young pleasant lady approached me in the foyer and asked was everything ok , she could see that I was crying and when I explained everything to her she said I am a maid here and I will come and clean your room for you , and put a new mattress cover on your bed , ( she had 2 days off prior to our arrival ) her name is Zemina her kindness and compassion excels beyond belief this young lady should be working at the front desk , her manner , appearance , shown through compared to the scruffy staff at front of hotel . My partner and I had no choice but to stay , due to budget . I have enclosed some photos .
