The hotel is very close to the Chichen Itza archaeological zone. The location is ideal if you want to get an early start in the park without the 2-3 hour ride from Cancun. It is designed for those who want to disconnect. There are no TV's in the rooms. There is no in-room wi-fi. The setting is a relatively remote "jungle" setting. None of that was a problem for me. However, I was disappointed by the facility's appearance. I expected more based upon reviews and online photos. At check-in the lobby was dark, humid, and unwelcoming. The paint in the lobby was faded and worn. The lobby bathroom was dirty with no soap, no toilet paper, and no means to dry my hands. After my brief time in the lobby, I knew my room would not meet expectations. The room paint was faded and stained. The furniture was outdated. The air conditioner hummed and knocked. The shower head was encrusted with mineral deposits. The bed was too firm. I did not rate it lower because of its location. I stayed only one night, and I was amongst the first in line at Chichen Itza the next day. However, it is not a place I would choose for an extended stay.
Fell in love with this place and its people

The rooms are basic, no TV, no phone and no wifi which makes it perfect to disconnect from the world and enjoy nature. The food was GREAT! and the staff was very kind and wonderful. It is in the middle of the jungle so expect and be prepared to encounter insects and other animals. The view from the observatory (the roof of the building) is incredible, it is a 360 view of the night sky, sunset, or sunrise.
Great hidden gem !

we spent a couple of nights here and loved it....the hotel is smack in the jungle ( keep your eyes open for the signage as its small and it can sneak up on you ) very quiet and in lush jungle. Two beautiful pools, a restaurant, and a spa. Rooms are basic ( no tv and phone ) but we didn't mind at all. Overall a great stay and good value for money. We will be back again.
Great facilities / room not perfect / restaurant okay

This hotel is in a great and romantic location and the facilities are really nice. We just stayed one night and we thought that check-in and check-out were okay but not very warm. The toilet in the room did not work great since it did not fill well after each use. There were extra blankets and a hair dryer missing in the room. Internet in the room was not available. The food at the restaurant was good but rather small portions and service was way below expectations.
So quite and beautiful

We loved this place! We stayed for 3 nights and no one else was staying at the property. Super easy to find!! We drove ourselves. We watched lots of birds when lounging at the fresh water pools. Staff was so attentive and friendly. Great English. We loved the property. Room was spacious, the double bed is odd for couples but the nicer rooms don’t have 1 bed. There’s also a rooftop you can see over all the trees and watch the sunset, we loved it up there. It’s definitely bug friendly you are in the middle of no where. We’re some small bugs in the room but asked them to come sweep for us and they did so with no problem. Restaurant was great! Big menu, I went every night to get at least a Cesar salad, as best I’ve had in Mexico. Antonio and Julian were so great. They make a lot of food table side.
