Good location, stayed two weeks
Bougainvillea did a nice job handling the Covid restrictions. Calabash restaurant was good for delivery during quarantine - liked it so much we ate there a couple of times after we were out of quarantine. Please note Thursday night is Thai night - a good change once a week. We decided to pay for the private Covid testing and received our results in a day. We arrived on Saturday at were on the beach at 11:00 on Tuesday. Definitely worth extending your vacation one week. Bougainvillea is close to the great restaurants in St. Lawrence gap - try Harlequin. Favorite restaurant: Cafe Luna Beautiful beach, not many people this year.
Karma Spa treatment /pedicure
I am not staying at the Bougainvillea hotel but visited the spa in December for Elemis facial and body massage. The girl (can’t recall her name) was very professional, friendly and informative. The products used were lovely and left my skin feeling and looking great. Both The facial and massage were definitely value for money and I would recommend these treatments. Today I returned for shellac pedicure and was seen by Nikita who was absolutely lovely and again professional. I’m more than happy with the treatment received and value for money and would recommend the spa. The only negative was the minimal Choice of shellac colours, only around 15, they just possibly need a few more options, However my friend who came with me and had shellac manicure was more than happy with the colour options so maybe I am just being a bit picky.
Staycation
Our stay at the hotel was amazing. The staff were pleasant and willing to help. Also the amenities, such as the spa and restaurant, called to find out if you planning to dine or get a massage. Overall it was a lovely stay and it had an amazing view of the beach as well.
Quarantine with fast internet, super service and a beautiful sea view
I recently spent my obligatory quarantine on arrival in Barbados at Bougainvillea Beach Resort. My room was modern, clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the beach and turquoise water from my balcony. When in quarantine the in room amenities are very important and I found mine to be excellent. A wonderfully comfortable bed and bedding,, good versatile lighting, powerful rain shower and fast internet just to mention a few. Calabash restaurant was very good and reasonably priced - fast and friendly service delivered directly to the room. Staff very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Considering I was in quarantine, I actually had a lovely and restful stay.
Amazing hotel & its location
The hotel is located at very beautiful Maxwell Beach (sand has a pink sheer to it) just 10-15min waking distance by beach to St Lawrence Gap (there is a connecting path just after Turtle Bay) We also managed to walk to/ from Oistins 2,5km about 30-40mim. There is also a large supermarket about 10-15min walking distance, Hotel is nicely decorated and clean. The staff was amazing, very polite, friendly and helpful. The food was good. Entertainment was also enjoyable, off season, every second day. The best hotel in Barbados in the price range.
