Worthing Court took care of everything!
Worthing Court provided us with a hassle-free, worry-free, warm, personal and easy quarantine process for bringing our kids home from college for the holidays this Christmas. The staff was so helpful in making arrangements: they booked the taxi from the airport and the PCR testing (which was done at their facility, so no need for more taxis and moving around). They were prompt and pleasant with their email responses to our many questions. We were able to drop off groceries and food with the staff at the gate whenever we liked, in addition to the convenience of their restaurant and the many nearby delivery options. They even called to have us retrieve valuable items forgotten behind. I heartily recommend them for a smooth transition during these worrisome times of Covid traveling.

Good for Quarantine
By far and away the best part of Worthing Court is Joy in the restaurant. She is lovely, accommodating, and everything I ate was delicious. PROS: they have a meal plan, were flexible with checkout dates based on the uncertainty of testing, and were more affordable than most other places I looked at. CONS: the hotel itself is just average, even for a budget hotel, and in need of an update. No washcloths, shampoo, or window screens, the sliding door jams, very little water pressure in the shower, etc. You might specifically ask when you arrive how to navigate the 2nd test. I'd assumed they would walk me through it but I was kind of on my own, though in fairness I don't know if that's officially their job. Just would have been helpful. So, for me it was a good option for the holding hotel but I wouldn't have been happy there longer term.
Staff are great but not much else is
My husband and I stayed at worthing court for a week as it was a government approved hotel and we needed to stay there until we had our 2nd pcr test. We booked this hotel because it had all of the facilities we needed after our period of isolation which was 3 days. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by lovely members of staff who do go above and beyond for you. However we were very disappointed to find out that NONE of the facilities were open. The pool was closed for maintainence the gym was closed the resteraunt were closed and we weren't allowed to use the washing facilities. We diddnt get our room cleaned the whole week we stayed which meant no clean sheets etc. We had to fully clean the room before we left and during our stay with only washing up liquid. No toilet cleaner surface spray or cloths, no floor cleaner etc. There was no mention of any facilities being closed when booking on either the British airways website or the expedia website. This was very disappointing as we were will still on holiday and I believe the facilities you pay for should be usable after your isolation if the hotel is open and running. We specifically booked this place (and paid more) than other places because of the features I mentioned above and it turned out we got to use nothing. If it wasn't for the staff being so nice and friendly I would have left one star. The facilities available or not available needs to be made clear to the holiday companies that are offering the hotel so that guests can make an informed decision on where to stay. I would like to add that I do understand the difficulties countries are facing with covid 19, however once the 2nd pcr test is done and negative the idea is to enjoy your holiday, we couldn't do this because the facilities we expected and paid for were not provided by the hotel. Other hotels are operating their pools and restaurants (even the approved holding hotels and I know because I've checked) Im sure this would be a lovely place to stay if everything was open but we feel very let down at £575 for a weeks stay with no amenities.
