Stopped here on highway travel on I-95; the hotel is right off the exit. Affordable holiday week rates should have been a clue to the worn out and dingy room. The room itself was clean. Never received a mobile key after on-line check in. At check in they demanded a "no smoking" waiver and also a full page covid disclosure form. Ironically, the front desk clerk had his mask sitting on his desk not on his face.
Great stop over place

We spend a night at a Marriott during the standard time travel period. This place is about 3/4 for our regular trip. Works out great for our needs. Convenient off Rt 95 and enough restaurants in the area. Nice staff and efficient rooms.
A Great Place to Stay!

I'm copying this from the review I offered on the Marriott site - I rely on TripAdvisor reviews and wanted to offer my own for this property. This was easily one of the most exceptional stays I've ever had in a hotel. We stayed there over the July 4th weekend, and the entire staff set the bar incredibly high with their customer service. Before I arrived, Aislynn, the GM called to tell me my room wouldn't be available due to an unavoidable air travel situation. I really appreciated her calling me before hand and giving me an opportunity to work out a solution. She was incredibly friendly and was able to offer a great solution. The story only gets better from here. When I checked in, Raeneshela was so gracious and friendly, making sure I knew I would be moved into the requested room the next day, and took the added step of calling to make sure I was comfortable in the room I had for the night. The next day I was able to move into my requested suite much earlier than anticipated. Both rooms were pristine, and the kitchens and bathrooms were ready to use. Air travel can not be helped, but the care and grace they showed to make sure I enjoyed my stay is something I haven't encountered in a while. Each time I walked passed the desk, the customer service reps were so friendly and helpful. Togar, Samantha, Skylar, and Roger, in addition to Raeneshela and Aislynn are great examples of the hospitality industry. I'm very grateful to them for making our weekend such an enjoyable one. The facilities, while a tiny bit dated, are VERY clean. Housekeeping is what it is in these COVID times, but I always had clean towels and the housekeeping staff is so friendly. Sheets were pristine, water pressure is phenomenal, and the open fitness center and pool area are meticulously cared for and easy to access. I couldn't hear any noise in the hallway from my room, and I was right next to the elevator. I saw children in the halls, but never heard them in the room, so I'd offer the soundproofing is outstanding. I'd never stayed here before - there are two extended stay hotels within a mile of this location. However, I will definitely make this hotel my go-to when in Newark/Wilmington. The customer service, combined with the facilities, puts this at the top of my list.
Worked for us

Not the newest place and carpet in room past due for replacement along with ac unit. We didn’t like the ac unit as it wasn’t very efficient. The room was nice for us because it had the kitchenette sink, burners, and refrigerator with a freezer. All were helpful with a family of four. Man and women at the desk were nice and she made a hot chocolate for my son that was really nice and thoughtful. Breakfast was included, but basic but that helped make our stay. Would stay again if in the area. Was a good value.
Good location comfortable

Stayed one night with my wife as part of moving my daughter into school. The location was good, the staff helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately that was negated by a very noisy climate control unit in the room. It was a lose/lose situation. If we left it off it was quiet enough to sleep but the room heated up and then we couldn't sleep. If we turned it on it worked swell at cooling the room, but made too much noise for anyone to sleep. The grab and go breakfast was rather feeble, but in the days of Covid we need to set our expectations low, really low I suppose.
