Hotel Bes And Spa

We arrived at a challenging time for the hotel (and for Italy) with Coronavirus rearing its ugly head. We (group of 8) arrived at Hotel Bes on 29th February and were warmly welcomed by the owners. The 4 rooms were all comfortable (we had a mix of Executive, Superior and Standard - even the latter was a good size) with good facilities. We all opted for the half-board package (in addition to rooms) and ate very well throughout our stay, looked after by 2 friendly, efficient waitresses and barman (at the friendly bar upstaris). Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Sadly for the hotel, due to COVID-19, the majority of the other guests had cancelled ('for free') which meant that the hotel had lost the majority of its revenues for the high season (all Italian ski resorts closed 2 days after we left...) For NEXT (2021) season, this is a great family run hotel with excellent food and service with great access to skiing in Italy (Milky Way) plus France from 2 adjacent lifts (2 mins walk from end of piste/lifts) ie a great location. This hotel (and team) deserve to be successful!!! PS we had 2 falls of 50cm of snow whilst there - BRILLIANT..

Stayed here for 4 nights skiing with my daughter. Hotel owners were very helpful, very nice and clean rooms. Beds were very hard for our liking, but all furniture was well maintained. Bathrooms were very nice. Good powerful shower. We had no view, but booked last minute so that was ok. Breakfast was adequate, cold continental style. I couldn't get a coffee I liked out of the coffee machine . Dinner menu looked very good but we did not take the dinner package when we booked. Very good bar, made excellent G&Ts and a good atmosphere. Parking is free on the street out front. Really excellent ski hire shop right next door. For skiing walk straight ahead out of the front door, past the church. Literally about 3 mins. Other restaurants all close by in easy walking distance. I'll definitely be back when we next return

We loved staying at this very friendly and cosy hotel right in the centre of Claviere. It is a short walk to the ski lifts and next door to a ski hire shop. Claviere is charming with plenty of restaurants and bakeries. The hotel has a restaurant that serves lovely food. The rooms are well appointed and clean and the owners are super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.

We came to play golf and by chance found this hotel ! The rooms were new , clean and large with sky tv including sky sport and cinema ! The staff were incredibly helpful and it was just a short walk to Claviere Golf course ! The price was reasonable and we will come back ! If you love mountain retreats with great restaurants nearby then you will have found it

This Spa has potential of being a lovely facility but was spoilt by the fact that both the jacuzi and relaxation room were very cold. As there were no staff in the spa I had to trudge up to Reception in my swimming costume and a towel to request that the temperatures were turned up. I returned to the spa and after a while re-tried the jacuzi which was still cold. I got dressed to have a hot drink in the relaxation room as it was too cold to sit in not fully dressed - only to find that the hot water machine was not working. Other guests also complained to us about how cold it was in the Spa. The changing room was too small for three of us to change in and there was only 1 shower. I complained again on the way out but was met with no apology or offer of any re-imbursement.
