Oh, where to begin??
I have stayed at this hotel at least once a year for the past few years. I'm seriously considering making a switch on my next visit. I know a lot of things are not the property's fault, but here's what I experienced this past weekend 2/12 and 2/13: Friday night (early Saturday morning) we were woken up at approximately 2:00 by people across the hall being VERY loud..music, talking, laughing, yelling, etc. We were in room 335, and this was going on in rooms 334 and 332. After letting this go o for about 20 minutes, I called the front desk to complain. They were apologetic, and said they would send someone up. About 15 minutes later, the security guard shows up, and tries to knock on the door, and they don't answer, but they continue being loud. We asked the guard if we needed to call the police, and she responded "No, we already did." So, she leaves, and the party continues. After about 15 more minutes, I took matters into my own hands and called the Clifton Police. They said they know about it and officers had just arrived. FInally, back comes the security guard with three police officers, and proceeds to eventually evict the parties from both rooms....we finally gt some quiet after everything died down around 3:45am. Flash forward to Saturday afternoon, after spending the day in the city, we come back, get to the room, and our cards don't work. So, I march down to the front desk, (which by the way seems like a mile away) and tell them, and they ask what room I am in, to which I respond, "335." She rekeys the cards and the manager comes out of the office and hearing what room I am in, apologizes for what had happened the night before, and says he is going to refund us for the night's stay. Fantastic. After going out for dinner Saturday night, we get back to the room around Midnight, and the hotel is obviously full, we can't park anywhere. Finally find a spot, and go in through the side door, where there are at least three "youths" hiding themselves in the bushes and around the corners, smoking marijuana...obviously. We get to our room, and just like the previous night, there apparently is another party going on across the hall in 334, and now next to us in 333, which is the adjoining room, and what also sounds like another one going on in 339....my girlfriend goes downstairs to complain and ask to be moved, but we can't because the hotel is full. So, let's just say that my alternative was to take matters into my own hands and LOUDLY bang on the door across the hall telling them to shut up, after all it was now past 1am. Thankfully, that worked. We checked out Sunday Morning. Since then, we actually were never reimbursed for our first night debacle. So, we essentially shelled out over $260 for two nights of noise and terrible sleep. Mind you, they didn't HAVE to do that, and I appreciate the nice gesture, but if you say you're going to reimburse, you probably should. Like I said, I know that a lot of this is not the hotel itself's fault, but if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep without the contact high, I may suggest somplace else. One positive...the room itself was great. Very clean and comfortable.
Traveling nurse experience
I booked this stay because of convenience to the location of the hospital I was working at as a traveling nurse. The price was great and was able to bring my pets. My first night I discovered late at night that my neighbors were very loud and disrupting my sleep. Called to front desk and was relocated to a non connecting room around 12 am. Soon after discovered that the noise from the hotel would never be better, there was a gap under my door that allowed noise from surrounding rooms and hallway all hours of the day and night. Complained once again, only solution was to allow me to move over and over again with no help. The smell of marijuana and cigarettes was constant although there is a non smoking policy. Housekeeping was inconvenient and they were not very accommodating to my four 12 hour shifts a week. Key card to get into building rarely worked and left me standing outside in the cold for 10 mins plus. Very disappointed with my stay.
Bed bugs!
Checked into this property Saturday, February 6. I had every intention of staying until the 12th. When I pulled back the sheets the first night I noticed this little brown thing. It looked like it could've been a piece of a leaf or something like that. I didn't think much of it and flipped it on the floor.Mid week I discovered My torso was covered with bites. After investigating on the Internet I confirmed that they were in fact bedbugs. The brown thing was a dead bedbug. Furious I packed up my things and went down and asked for the manager. He started backpedaling and told me that he would have to call an environmental exterminating company and to confirm.I am 61 years old and not comfortable flipping up my shirt for anybody but I did flip out my shirt and showed him the bites all over my torso. PS two days later he called me and said that they did not find any infestation. Told me he would send me the report from the exterminating company which I still have not received. Nor did I receive a credit for the two nights I did not stay there and the three previous nights. Do not !!! I repeat do not stay at this property
Not impressed
Hotel rooms are OK. Could be cleaner and very loud. I ran out of this place when I saw a BED BUG ON MY BED! They didn’t believe me asked for a pic but, I was more worried getting that thing off my bed so it wouldn’t bite my one year old daughter!!! Just terrible I couldn’t sleep that night. One night I was sleeping and heard a girl scream and run into her room slamming the door followed by a knock at the door. Creepy. I wouldn’t stay again.
