Twin room for a married couple 😂
Reviewed 27 july, 2020
I'm not sure if my husband aimed to get a twin room or we clearly didn't look married when we turned up in our soaked bike kit. It was a bit pricey for a pokey room at £95 but they definitely do a great breakfast. Very sweet little town with everything on your doorstep and they also offered bike parking for €5 a day.

Alt=Old and Old IT was. History back to ca 1350. Integrated with the old walls of defence. The room ok, great breakfast. They offer parking to 5 euro at night nearby the hotel. Short walking distance to the Old castle, Short distance to restaurants and Bierstube. A great experience.
Wonderful stay in an historic inn

Our room with the old four poster bed and classic schrank were charming and comfortable. Clean room. Breakfast buffet was above average. Great location near the heart of Cochem and built into the ancient wall of the city. Hope to stay there the next time we visit Cochem!
Good atmosphere to have tea break in Cochem
Reviewed 9 november, 2018
Alte Thorschenke by the side the Old City Gate is a well known Inn in Cochem. During our visit there, we have taken a tea break there. The half-timbered house structure and decorations around is relaxing. May be we will try to stay here in the next visit.
Maybe not everybody's cup of tea?

We fell head over heels in love with this hotel. Who wouldn't when you get to sleep in royal beds from the sixteen hundreds!? I weird mix of ancient and modern, though modern was more like seventies modern. Maybe not for everyone, smelled a little funky and accessibility seemed poor for people with moving disabilities. But staff was very sweet and breakfast good. Parking in nearby parking house, you'll need coins.
