Very nice modern room, warm welcome. The owner kindly drove us to Bocuse's restaurant. The breakfast was excellent. Note that the rooms are up a flight of stairs for those who have physical limitations. For all others, highly recommended.

I stayed with Hélène in Chambre d'Hotes with my wife in January and we had an excellent experience. A very warm welcome with a lovely hostess who does everything she can to make you feel comfortable. We arrived very late and she didn't complain at all and served us a great breakfast the next morning, with plenty of advice about the area. Hélene seems to really enjoy welcoming tourists and this really shows. The area is very nice and it is convenient to Paul Baucouse restaurant, which is very famous. Would definitely recommend this for a balance of value for money and a very enjoyable experience. This is not a 5 star hotel, the rooms are just nice and comfortable, but you don't expect more for the price. However, all the other elements more than compensate and that's why I have given it a 5 star rating.
A wonderful accommodation near Paul Bocuse

We had a fantastic stay at Chambres d'Hotes Mado et Lulu and felt treated by the pampering provided by Helene, the gracious Owner/Innkeeper, The Inn is a beautiful estate, with a surprising country feel, given it is very close to the busy city of Lyon. The neighborhood is in the suburbs and she has a gated, very large property with a friendly dog, a less friendly goose (isolated in a pen) and a beautiful pool. The feel is casual and warm, more like a friend welcoming you to their home than a formal hotel. That ambience is a primary reason we recommend it so highly. Helene is an excellent chef and the breakfast was memorable. Chambres d'Hotes Mado et Lulu is a particularly good choice for accommodation if you plan to dine at nearby Paul Bocuse, Auberge du Pont de Collonges. Helene provided a ride to the restaurant so we did not have to monitor our wine intake. The rooms are beautifully appointed. We originally booked the larger room where we stayed the first two nights. Because we added an extra evening, and our original room was booked, Helene moved us to the other room for our final night. Ironically, in Lyon, the gastronomic center for French cuisine, I fought a case of food poisoning obtained at a small restaurant in Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse. Helene called Restaurant Paul Bocuse to move our reservation to the following evening so I had time to recover. Apparently, her mother went to school with "Monsieur Paul", so they moved our reservation without issue even though it was full both evenings. Then, while I was upstairs "being sick", she made dinner for my wife and spent hours entertaining her over wine and conversation. It was a memorable evening (for both of us, actually, albeit for different reasons).. Helene has a working knowledge of English, but with the free Wi-Fi, we found using Google Translate made conversations much easier. We would not consider visiting Central France without staying with our new friend at Chambres d'Hotes Mado et Lulu.
Great B&B in Paul Bocuses village

We had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast. It is quite located, easy to find and it has an own parking. The rooms are very tastefull and brandnew. The locations is perfect for a visite to Paul Bocuse (30 minutes by foot, 5 minutes by car). And the owner is just wonderful. She is so friendly and hospitable. She makes breakfast in the morning and it is very cosy to just sit in the kitchen and have a conversation. We recommend this B&B warmly and will definitely come back.
