Good comfortable hotel in a great location

I had a great stay at the Lindner Hotel City Plaza. We had not originally booked this hotel. We were actually booked in the Lindner Dom hotel but our booking was transferred as our hotel we were due to stay in was closed. I was nervous about this change but couldn't have had a better experience in this hotel. The business twin room we had was comfortable. Large enough for two people to share comfortably. The shower in particular was amazing. Great water pressure. Nice beds. We were on the First Floor and found the room to be nice and quiet. The breakfast selection was good. Lots of hot and cold food options. Staff at reception were helpful and friendly. We were able to store our bags at reception on our check-out day as our flight was late and we wanted to do some more sightseeing. The hotel was a 4 minute walk from the closest U-Bahn station and a 10 minute walk from the shopping area/ 20 minute walk from the Dom/HBF area, so very accessible . We required Covid antigen tests in order to fly home and were able to get these tests at the test centre adjacent to the hotel. This was a quick and easy process. Test and results by email took no more than 20 mins. I would highly recommend the test centre if needed for your trip. Altogether, it was an excellent stay. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I was staying for business over the holidays at this hotel in Cologne. The location of the hotel is pretty good really downtown close to restaurants and shops. Too said that during Christmas times everything is like locked up, even the hotel and its restaurant was closed during the 24th till 26 December. Only breakfast was provided starting 7:30 in the morning. The room was clean and convenient to the staff was friendly and attentive. It would be nice if the hotel would provide any kind of service concerning nutrition during the holidays.

In spite of the pandemic, the hotel processes (check in, check out, breakfast) was very well organized. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast gets especially crowded around 9:00. However, the staff is very helpful and organizes spacing and manages the queue very well.

What a charming hotel. I stayed for 4 nights whilst visiting a friend. I was greeted with friendly smiles & a smooth check-in process. The room was spotless, comfortable & bright. Plenty of storage, a good size tv, & a modern bathroom, the highlight of which was the digital shower. Great water pressure as well. I found the room to be quiet with heavy drapes & good temperature controls, so I slept very soundly. The location is perfect for all the great dining, nightlife, & shopping that the city has to offer. Lovely breakfast buffet as well. My one complaint is that the bath towels are quite small, & that wash cloths are not provided. I visit Cologne at least once a year, & will absolutely be staying here again.

We stayed at Lindner 3 nights. The room is comfortable and the bed warrant a good sleep. The problem is the low quality of the service. On the third day our room was undone at 5 pm and when we called to have it done we were asked if the day was the last of our permanence. The bar is almost always closed and with modest offers.. The personnel has limited professionality. 4 stars? Are you serious?
