Great weekend
Just come back from a 3 night stay. Great location by the river. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Also had lunch one afternoon and that was again excellent. Close to Cathedral and all restaurants and bars. I had a small single room which was fine for me. Would very much stay again!
Excellent Location
Did not know we booked the best hotel in town because the price was quit cheap. The location of this cute and cozy hotel is perfectly located between the river Rhine (amazing view) and the old town (were all the pubs and tourist shops are). Best rooms is room 18 for sure of the one above room 18!!!! We love the breakfast and rooms, the beds are the best. We don't have anything to complain about but think the no air corn in the rooms thing can be a problem in the summer and the noise from the restaurant down stairs can be a problem if you want to sleep before 11 at night. Please do not sleep before 11 their is so much things to do.
Nice Restaurant and Hotel, friendly staff and tasty food.
So first of all the Rooms: For a 3-Star Hotel the Rooms where absolutely fascinating, nice colors, comfortable Matresses etc. The Service was really nice and helped us with travelling Cologne. Now to the Restaurant: The Food was delicious, tho a bit pricey it makes up with taste, especially the pasta and Pizza. All in all it was a very nice stay and I will come again.
Customer Oriented?
Non-existent service, had to wait for 1 hr 30 min to be served lousy food! The waiter forgot to order/forgot to serve out food. Drinks and beer were served luke warm. Don't go there - not worth the money.
Functional Hotel in Central Location
My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Lowenbrau for 4 nights in February. It was a functional hotel that was clean enough. However, the room we were put in was 4 floors up a winding staircase which was hard to reach with our luggage. Going up and down the stairs was a chore in itself besides when we checked in. Wish I had asked for a room on a lower floor when we checked in but hindsight is 20/20. We did have a great view though. The breakfasts were good but not the best we had on the trip.
