Older hotel that has been updated and is well maintained. Had a horrible night here though. The hotel has some function rooms and we believe we were sharing our floor with people attending a wedding. Middle of the night (230AM) and they were up and down the hallway talking at full volume and loudy knocking on each other’s doors. Not the hotel’s fault entirely but it seems they should have a system to prevent this from happening. The problem went on for hours until I called the front desk.
Happy to See Full Services Returning!

The Marriott Albany is a big property, and we were warmly greeted by their staff. My wife and I were especially excited to see a hotel restaurant actually open again for dinner late into the evening and breakfast (well, Starbucks coffee at least!) until 11am. Our only disappointment was the pool. We spoke with the staff about how dirty the deck was, and that leaving bottles of chemicals strewn all over could be dangerous for children.
Great Service and Wonderful Hotel

Two night stay. I had booked a third but a last minute matter prevented the first planned night stay. Staff allowed me to cancel that night within a 24-hour window. Showed up and realized they somehow changed two queens to a single king room. They staff initially said there were no more queen rooms, but when pressed, gave me a two queen bed room on a concierge level. Desk staff were so professional and courteous. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean, except under the headboard, where there was a large dust buildup which I noticed while searching for an item. This hotel is in a prime location for easily getting to numerous dining and shopping locations. If you are looking for a classy hotel with great guest service, and don’t mind paying a bit more for it, I’d certainly book here.

I have stayed twice here in the past month, and I expect that I will return here in the future for business I conduct in the area. Overall both hotel stays were fine. I have to compliment their front desk staff. On my last visit, I arrived without my wallet. I had left my jacket at my previous meeting place, and it contained my wallet. I had to go back to retrieve my jacket and wallet. The staff allowed me to check in with my phone app, and they gave me a key to the room so that I could drop off my luggage. It was very considerate of them. As for the hotel itself, it is an older property. It seems to be well maintained. Onsite parking is plentiful. They are taking COVID-19 precautions, and I will make this comment in every review. They seem to be using COVID-19 as an excuse to provide a lower level of service. They have the executive lounge closed, which is fine, but in lieu of lounge access for Rewards members, they give you some points and a coupon for a single cup of coffee per day at their restaurant. They also do not come into the room to make the bed or exchange towels. They also severely restrict access to their fitness room. I find all of this to be an unacceptable level of service. I am very loyal to the Marriott/Bonvoy brand, but I am not sure that my loyalty is being rewarded at the present. I hope that as COVID cases drop that they will begin to provide the service that they used to provide. The price per night at the hotel was OK, and the people working at the hotel are very nice. It is convenient to my business meetings. For that reason, I recommend it. I caution those who stay there to be aware of the hotel's COVID policy.
We spent one night here — thought it was an excellent

The hotel shows its age a bit, including the rooms, but very clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking (no up charge) and the on-site restaurant, Chat’s, was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff at check-in and the restaurant. Perfectly good stay after a long day in a car.
