MAYBE THE BEST RESIDENCE INN IN ALL OF AMERICA...!!!

We’ve been traveling non-stop since our retirements (now up to 900 Marriott nights and over 900,000 Hilton points) – so when we say this is quite possibly the best RI in the whole country, we have plenty to judge from. Start with Front Desk Warren, who greets you warmly and efficiently, explaining in detail all the hotel’s finer points (and there are plenty). Breakfast begins at 7 a.m. every day, with helpful staffers getting for you whatever you choose from a posted menu: scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, yogurts, bagels and breads, juices, individual milk cartons, fresh apples and oranges, protein bars -- and of course self-serve coffee in the lobby. Your items are packaged so you may take back to your room or eat in the spacious dining area. The fitness room is massive, with free weights, kettlebells, 2 benches, Bosu balls, the usual machines (including 3 treadmills), plus a water dispenser and a scale. Lots of towels, too. Adjacent is a computer and printer. Outside is a basketball court and outdoor grill and the grounds are spotless (as are the hotel’s hallways). We had the 2-Bedroom (Queens)/2-Bath Suite (shower in one, tub in the other) with screened windows that open for a breeze. The hotel is 4 floors (113 rooms), so there are fantastic views no matter where your room is. Every single staffer makes it clear he or she is there to insure your hotel happiness. Somebody at the top sure knows how to run this show. Nicely done, GM Chris! Yours is now our go-to hotel for our return trip to Colorado Springs. Thank you to you and your fine team for the exceptional Marriott hospitality!

Lots of homeless around the hotel. Hard to get the room cleaned and the Front desk staff is rude. I even think I meet the manager once (worst one there). I wonder how come more bad reviews are not listed.

NOT clean-Stay Elsewhere!

Our family of four stayed in a one bedroom suite the beginning of August. Upon arrival everything looked okay. As we got settled in we realized the sink was blocked, the room wasn't thoroughly vacuumed (crumbs everywhere, even a staple laying on the floor), and the bathtub hadn't been cleaned in weeks. We let them know about the blocked sink and was told we were supposed to give them a 24 hour notice and that they only came every 7 days to fix things. Luckily it was fixed the next day. The tub had a slimy/grimey feel with a pink ring around the drain, which is an instant indicator that it hasn't been properly cleaned in quite some time. Notified management who initially said it was because it was an old tub and nothing could be done about it. I then told him I cleaned part of it myself with a basic bacterial wipe to prove it was a cleaning problem, not an old tub problem. He said he'd get someone up there right away to clean it. We were headed out to dinner and didn't want to pack our valuables up (there is NO safe in the room, btw) so I requested it get done the next day which he agreed to. The next morning we were gone by 8:00 and returned at 5:30. NOTHING had been done. Room not cleaned, bathtub still disgusting. Went downstairs to let the front desk know and they simply gave us an email address. Seriously. Also, trash is everywhere piling up outside people's rooms, as well as the trashcans near exterior doors. It's gross. Breakfast is grab and go and starts at 7:30. I think they are trying to take precautions due to covid but they are making it worse by making people congregate in the lobby (most people are unmasked) and wait in a line for two workers to gather what you order. Mind you, the workers are also unmasked, but they are wearing gloves. This is not helping. We have stayed in numerous Marriott branded hotels and have achieved titanium elite status. This hotel is NOT living up to the Marriott brand. Residence Inn CO Springs North, do better.

Great to have a two bedroom space for privacy, but property is showing its age

We were in Colorado Springs for a milestone family event and knew we needed a second bedroom and we were not interested in renting a house so the Residence Inn North/Air Force Academy was our best bet. We slept well and enjoyed the big space, but the second bedroom bathroom was dated and showed it’s age, the windows seemed to be an afterthought and the room could use new floors and carpeting. It was topical clean but we made sure to wipe everything down. We love the benefit of the fridge, a living room to relax in and the extra space so we understand it is a trade off. COVID of course did not help as the breakfast was very limited (please reinstate breakfast potatoes) and room cleaning service was not offered daily, but we were able to get fresh towels and supplies whenever needed. The room served the purpose for the stay and for that we end up right in the middle at three stars. Also, what happened to supplying a daily newspaper. We know they did at this location two years back but they let us know they have since discontinued it; a small touch like this would go a long way.

I have stayed here before and the staff is always awesome.. but the rooms were getting outdated.. this last stay was unexpected due to weather, but I was pleasantly surprised by the newly renovated rooms. Of course the staff was awesome as always!!
