We usually like this hotel chain. Our check-in lady was friendly and changed our room to one on the top floor at our request. The room itself was HUGE. Sofa and chair, but the sofa was so low that people with back problems should avoid it. (I did). Nice desk area. I am 5'6" and had great difficulty getting into the bed! Just too high for me. Mattress comfortable, linens okay. The reason for such a low 2 star rating? The bathroom! The floor needed a really serious steam cleaning/mopping. There were water spots and pubic hairs. The tub needed better slip-proofing because I felt like I might fall at any minute while showering. The shower head is WAY TOO HIGH! Even reaching up as far as I could, I could not turn the shower head downward. Had to get my husband to do that. There is no grab bar when getting out of the tub, only a long horizontal bar for people who are bathing. The toilet was so low that I thought I was going to fall onto the floor the first time I used it! Having eaten at Bob Evans and developing colitis from that meal, I was up and down all night and the next morning the muscles above my knees were stiff from getting on and off that toilet all night long! IT IS TOO LOW! Also, the seat was loose. My husband attempted to repair it as best he could. We reported it upon check-out. The vanity area was large with a large mirror with a picture frame around it. The top of the picture frame looked like it had not been dusted in almost a year!!!!!! With COVID around, I thought a thorough cleaning was guaranteed?
Don’t waste your time, keep driving

We just were lucky enough to get the last room available after a long day of travel. Or we thought we were. Should’ve just kept driving to the rest stop instead. Would’ve saved money, been in a cleaner and more comfortable place. This suite looked ok but looks are deceiving. It smelled of smoke badly. Like it REEKED of smoke. And not the “one bad apple” smoking in there once; no, it was like an older biker bar used to be in that room at one time. It was so bad that we only stayed a few hours; the mister needed some sleep. Even then my clothes, coat, and purse all reeked of that horrid, stingy smoke. Another thing I need to bring up; the toilet seat was broken. Like the seat hinge was broken. I slipped but did not fall. What if this would’ve happened to an older person? This was in a handicap suite as well ?!? How could such negligence be ok? And if they say they didn’t see it then that means they are not cleaning the toilet seat? Hmmmmm.... So, in conclusion, don’t waste your time.

Stayed here on 1/8/2021. I never got her name but the woman at the front desk couldn’t be more pleasant and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. Nice location with tons of food choices in close proximity.
Decent hotel. Good price. Convenient location.

We stayed the night before the Ga-Missouri football game. Hotel is conveniently located. Just a few miles to the campus. Within walking distance to TGI Friday restaurant. Many other restaurants are just a few minutes away. Room was clean, beds were a little hard. But, if you are short...the beds might be a problem! Our King bed was ridiculously high. My husband is 6'5...and it was too high even for him. Have never seen a bed that high off of the floor! Grab and Go breakfast was better than most...they had Jimmy Dean sausage/egg/cheese croissants, which could be heated in the microwave in lobby or in our room. Nice to have a choice of something hot for breakfast. Would stay here again.

This was an average hotel and what I would expect for the price I paid. The only reason for my review was my absolute shock at the lack of professionalism by the front desk staff. I was on a road trip with my husband and kids and we didn't want to book anything ahead of time but I had done some research ahead of time. If we ended up in Columbia when we were ready to stop, as expected, we planned to stop here based on reviews. Just before stopping I verified through a well known site they had rooms available but figured it would be easier to just go in to get one. When we went in the woman at the front desk came out from a back room after a bit of a wait. She seemed annoyed and told us they were totally booked. We went back outside, checked a third party website, which still showed availability, booked a room and went back in. We showed our reservation and she acted so pissed and put out. She said they must have overbooked the hotel and we would be in a handicap accessible room. Our room was on the third floor and was in no way handicap accessible. It was fairly clean and quiet and certainly served our purpose but I will never forget interacting with a front desk staff who was too lazy to book people into vacant rooms and annoyed even if you do it yourself.
