Lot of false advertisement
Advertised with air con and none to be found. Charged for breakfast without any prior announcement and charge also for parking without saying anything before. Cant recommend this anyone. For the price they charge for the measly breakfast i could ve gone to a restaurant and enjoy real italian coffee.
Nice Hotel
For a one-night stay on our travels through Italy this hotel was perfect. The owner/manager was very friendly and accommodating, we had arrived without a booking, but he was able to offer us a room that was adequate and clean. The breakfast was very good served in a nice room overlooking the pool. Parking was tight but convenient. For our evening meal we took the short walk down the hill to the water front of lake Como. It was a short drive along the banks of lake Como to visit the famous Villa del Balianello.
No air conditioning
The rooms were good and clean, given the price. We had a room with partial lake view. Staff were friendly. However, it was impossible to sleep at night. The roof was radiating heat, no AC in the room, difficult to leave windows open because of mosquitoes. In addition, as all hotel floors are tiled, early mornings were noisy when people started going for breakfast. We were keen on the pool up gave up quite quickly. As it is on the small side, it had already been taken over by families, every time we tried to use it.
Serene mountain views in a quiet setting not quite in the midst of in-town activities.
A nice, quiet clean upstairs room with balcony and beautiful mountain views. Best if you travel by car...a bit of a hike up many many steps from town of you're walking...get ready even though the locals say "10 minutes._...you'd better be in good climbing shape! A decent breakfast is included (hard boiled eggs, cold cuts.) Breakfast was the only time when food or drink was available for purchase...perhaps in higher season, the pretty dining room by the pool might be open? There are no dining options in the immediate area other than a bar. There was no working internet as advertised... being "connected" but still unable to BE connected. Would be nice, top, for English-speaking guests to have 1 or 2 English channels on T.V. ! There is no reception area to check in, so it's important to pre-arrange an arrival time. There is a taxi ride from town which we paid 10E for on arrival at the ferry terminal. For these reasons, I did not give an otherwise "very good" rating. Recommended for a restful experience.
Excellent stay
The staff is extremely helpful. We arrived late and the restaurant worker still managed to get us some sandwiches even though she was about to late. We had a lot of luggage and no car. Roger, who manages the property, dropped us to the ferry point on our last day. The breakfast served is pretty good and you can enjoy swimming pool 24hrs. The balcony gives you view of the swimming pool, mountains and the lake.
