Quick spur of the moment trip!

All the staff was great. Despite the busy weekend everyone was nice and helpful . My husband and I didn't have a reservation and they had a room available. We had 2 double beds and it was a smaller room but it was nice. Really no need to go anywhere for breakfast they had waffles, eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage gravy, etc. The only things I would mention about the room which probably would be easy fixes, the room we stayed in needed a new refrigerator and the bathroom door needed to be fixed it kept getting stuck. Unfortunately we had a very tall tree outside our window and maybe it should be cut a little there was a storm and I thought I the limbs would come through it window 😔. Overall a good place to stay. Walkable restaurants nearby.
Unconfortable situation due to entitled Desk Clerk

I did not have a good or bad experience upon checking into the hotel. What I did have is a feeling that something was not right about the whole situation - I thought maybe it was because she had her young daughter with her so I just kept it at the back of my mind. After I checked in, I went to get something to eat and brought it back to the hotel with me. That's when I noticed that neither of the 2 vehicles parked in the Handicap spaces. Since I am disabled and I had to park at the far end, I took offense to this. I talked to the desk clerk and told her about the 2 vehicles parked illegally. She told me the one closest to the main entrance was her and brushed me off because she wasn't going to be working all night anyway. I shook my head and walked away hoping she would have a change of heart and move her car. After eating my dinner, I went to gas up my truck and upon return, was disgusted by the fact that they were still occupying the Handicap parking spots. So I decided to start taking pictures of the vehicles, the parking spots and the license plates. At that point the hotel employees' entrance flies open and this employee confronts me about my activity. I told her I was planning on reporting the issue to which she says "OK. But it's at the discretion of the owner anyway." I looked at her cockeyed and informed her that I was actually planning on reporting this to the Police so they can write them tickets. She responded with "Okay." When I looked out about 30-minutes after the encounter, both cars had been moved. I still plan on reporting the incident to the national chain (Choice Hotels) and plan on sending them all the pictures I took.
Could be Done Better Despite Covid "Excuses"

Disappointed. Room was not inexpensive and we got no service at all. Just a room. And a traffic-noisy one at that. The rooms picked up the I-85 roaring sound day and night through the closed windows. Nothing can be done about that; it's just a fact of that location. And the location is very conveniently located near the Raceway, Concord Mills mall, and about a million restaurants. It is a congested traffic area albeit. The room appeared clean and I was happy to find that there was a mini-fridge and microwave which they don't list in the hotel amenities online. I liked the window drapes which blocked the morning light sufficiently. But--if you want a change of towels, you're told to throw yours out into the hallway onto the floor (uncouth) and yes other hotels are doing that understandably but the difference here is that they don't deliver clean ones to the room by putting them in a bag and hanging them on your door the way the other places do. You have to go to the desk and request them to hand to you. Plus you have to service your own garbage cans. There is not much in the way of breakfast and they don't want you even to eat on the tables in the breakfast room! The food choices were danish, muffins, some kind of refrigerated sausage sandwich that you can heat in a microwave, yogurt, milk, oranges, and bananas. Coffee, herb teas, and juice. Glad to have the fresh fruit at least. With so little to offer I don't feel we got our money's worth. And no, this was NOT race weekend.
Great location and CLEAN!

Enjoyed my stay at the Sleep Inn & Suites. Everyone was polite and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent value too. Located near the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Plenty of restaurants nearby and several just a short walk away.
Over all a great deal and a good place to stay.

The lady who checked us in at 6:00p was efficient and polite. The hotel, and especially our room, were very clean. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. The bed was too soft for my husband, but I slept fine. The in-room refrigerator motor was very quiet. We suggest a hook be installed on the inside of the bathroom door to hold the towel close to the shower. We checked out at 7:00 the next morning and the same lady was at the front desk. Seems the staff was one person short so she was working more than usual. Still, she was cheerful and kind. I thanked her for putting us in a room on the top floor and on the quiet side of the hotel. The breakfast was average. Nonetheless, I would stay there again.
