A little dated and quirky, but a nice place to stay with very welcoming staff

The Boustigue Hotel is a unique and charming place to stay, although you must not expect modern luxury, the rooms are simple, they have not been decorated in a long time, but everything was clean, and everything you need is provided. The bathroom especially was dated, probably 30 to 40 years old, but it was clean and everything worked fine, which is what matters :-)
The road up to the hotel once you leave the main road is not for the faint hearted - steep and narrow with blind bends, luckily we never met another vehicle coming in the opposite direction when we drove up or down this road, but if we had, passing each other could have been challenging!
Driving to Notre Dame De la Salette is quick and easy, maybe 15 minutes drive. The drive down into Corps much shorter, where there are a number of eating options, plus at least one mini supermarket.
The breakfast at the hotel was very nice, breads, cakes, croissants, plus cereals, cheeses, ham, fruit, etc. Coffee made to order by the staff.
The staff were very nice and welcoming, and they speak enough English too.
Make sure you walk across the garden, behind the swimming pool to check the view down to Corps and the lake, it is simply breathtaking, with the mountains in the background.
Wonderful lunch with stunning views and friendly service 😎👍

Had a delicious lunch after following the hair-pin bends up the mountain. We were staying at Camping du Lac for a few nights and saw the sign through binoculars.
Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak several language, including English.
A hotel with a magnificent view

We chose this hotel without knowing anything about it and really enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is at 1,200 metres altitude with a magnificent view over the lake 400 metres below. It is a family run hotel with very helpful staff that speak four languages. Both dinner and breakfast were very good and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay there again. Being at the end of he road, there was no noise at all at night.
Wonderful views. Wonderful food!

Boustigue is located at the end of a dozen hairpin bends in the road above Corps. The views are stupendous from the rooms, the restaurant and the gardens. There is a swimming pool with sunloungers and some swings for younger children. The only downsides are the reception area, down some dark steps at the end of the bar area, and the bedrooms which are rather old-fashioned, without the customary beverage tray or modern furniture (sheets and blankets are provided). But the views from the rooms are amazing and the food alone is worth the journey! Dinner, with both a la carte or fixed price menus at €20 for 3 courses or €28 for 4 courses, includes a magnificent buffet d'entreés, fresh lake trout, magret de canard, lovely fresh local vegetables and an astonishing selection of gateaux for dessert, all served in the restaurant right by huge picture windows with views over the valley. Breakfast has a buffet of cold meat, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, and baskets of freshly baked pastries - croissants, pains chocolats, pains raisins, bread and toast. Excellent friendly service in this family-run hotel. Some English is spoken, so this is an opportunity to brush up on your French and on some truly memorable food at this individual hotel. A place to remember for all the right reasons!
