Nice and comfy
It was a lovely hotel, walking distance to the shops and restaurants, yet semi-private beach. The food was good, their Japanese restaurant was the best, the yoga classes were fun. The staff are ok, but not super friendly, they just do their job, no personal touch. At one point I even explored the building because it was very interesting, and crossed path with an office staff - accountant or something- and he kinda chased me to ask me am I a guest or I came from outside, which I found disrespectful and strange for a 5 start hotel. I wanted to report to the manager, but as I am not that good inn spanish, I wasn't sure if his remark is considered disrespectful or normal in Spanish. So I let it go. I would say everything is great, only more staff training is needed.
Not a nice Experience
We booked a Deluxe Sea view Junior suite, by chance the day we booked it was a black Friday, big mistake, it was a nasty room, it was dreadful for too many reasons to list in this limited review space.
Honeymoon heaven
Wow, where to start? We looked at booking here for some time but only booked properly a bit last minute for our honeymoon. What a decision! From the private transfer they arranged from the airport and the check in with an upgraded room we knew we were in for a treat. We’ve never stayed 5 star before and didn’t really know what to expect but whatever it was this was above and beyond. Obviously due to covid not everywhere in the hotel was open including all restaurants but it didn’t matter one bit, most of the time we forgot about what’s going on in the world we were that relaxed. The staff honestly couldn’t do enough for you from the reception, to the greeter at dinner times, to all the waiting staff they always greeted you with a smile and small chat. We tried taking names down of them starting with Sophia but then honestly we stopped because everyone is worth a mention. The cleanliness was exceptional, the rooms must have been cleaned roughly 3 times a day without fail. There’s not much to do around the location itself apart from walking to the shops or relax by the beach, same for evening entertainment it was low key but very elegant and perfect for our honeymoon break. For our last night I spoke to reception and paid to upgrade us to the best suite types in the hotel and so glad I did as a treat to my now wife, the room was beautiful, not to take anything away from our original room though which was also great, sea view is a must! We visited the spa only once but it was so peaceful and quiet and great for a few pictures. The food was amazing from breakfast all the way through, I’m a fussy eater but always found plenty of choice and loved the live cooking stations, compliments to all the chefs. We visited the a la carte tapas bar twice and had a great meal both times. We loved the mojo sauce on the potatoes that we bought a jar from the airport on the way home. Will definitely look to return for our anniversary at some point Love from the kings
Lovely relaxing and peaceful Holiday
May I first say our trip was a last minute spur of the moment event as our holiday to Cyprus was cancelled 24hrs before departure and TUI came up with this hotel and location as a possible alternative. Great Choice I must say. On arrival late in the evenings met at the door by the concierge and shown to reception who set the tone for the whole stay. Instead of booking us in were asked if hungry and if we would like something to eat the evening was still juts being served and was shown to the dining room. That was a nice touch other places we have stayed would have insisted on booking us in and making miss the meal small touch big impact. Rooms was big and spacious and always cleaned but had to be asked for and towels changing due to the covid rules but we only asked once. The hotel is very clean and staff take pride in what they do and always happy to help and nice people. The food was good and plentiful but according to a couple we spoke with who were regular visitors was below what was normal but only to be expected. I would just like to mention one lady Veronica or Veronique she was one of the waiting staff in the dining room and met us each day with smiley eyes (couldn't see her face due to the masks everyone wore) lovely lady and always attentive and nothing seemed to phase her. Covid issues non everyone wore masks where required and using the gells supplied. Would I recommend and go back most definitely
Wonderful for some winter sun
Wonderful hotel and a great (pre lockdown) break in the sunshine. Hotel had all the necessary COVID safety conditions in place - felt clean and safe and could still enjoy a lovely holiday. Great food at the hotel. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and great quality. In the evenings we mostly ate in the town which is a mile walk or €4 cab ride (which hotel will book for you and taxi comes really quickly). Lots of great bars and restaurants in the town including lots which are on the sea/harbour front.
