Still as good
My husband and I actually got married at the Red House a number of years ago but it has been a few years since we last visited. We were pleasantly surprised that both the quality of the food and the attentive friendly staff remain as good as before. I had the scampi followed by homemade berry crumble and custard and my husband had the steak pie and sticky toffee pudding. Generous portions and super tasty what's not to like! Good Covid hygiene measures in place as well. We will certainly be back soon and would have no hesitation in recomending.
High recommended
We had lunch on 31st August after a visit to nearby Glamis Castle. Food was excellent, great service from friendly staff in a Covid safe environment and good value for money. Parking on-site. Highly recommended.
Evening
First time having a meal here and it was very happy with the way the whole evening went. The battered Haddock was lovely and my partner enjoyed his chicken with the black pudding and my wee boys macaroni was a good portion. Service was lovely and we will be back again
Golf Stay
I stayed here for a weekend golf trip. The hotel was very good and comfortable. The food was excellent as was the service. The owner Alan was very helpful and pleasant and was very accommodating. Will visit again
Overpriced!!
Out for a Sunday run when we decided we would stop for a snack at The Red House. Staff were very nice and greeted us at the door. We decided on a plate of soup with crusty bread which was priced at £5.50 each We ordered, however when it arrived I was surprised that it was served in a cereal bowl(making it a very small portion) and the crusty bread was was part baked anemic wedges which did not look tasty at all. Overpriced for what they are serving!!!
