Nice Little Hotel on the Main Square

Reviewed 3 november, 2021

We got to Krakow via train from Warsaw. It was a bit of a trial to get a taxi. So once we got in, I mentioned Bonerowski Palace and he did not know where it was. So tip #1. Keep the address handy especially if your Polish is not too good. When we found the place, we understood why. It's hotel entrance is a tiny doorway on a side street. So, when we got there, no bellhop so we had to struggle to get our 4 cases thru the small door. Not a great start, but for such an old place, I was surprisingly ok with it. The check in was easy and the bellman arrived. When we saw the room, it was a suite with 2 separate rooms. It also had one window overlooking a small side street with many windows on the other side. We tried to change it to a room overlooking the square but we could not make it happen. However, we did change to the Red Room, which was one large room which was satisfactory. The room was a good size. The small window overlooking the street we just kept the curtain closed. Not an entire surprise when you are in such a good location with small street. Our room was 306 and it was fine. The bathroom shower was a bit strange. The glass door only covered half the tub so you had to be careful how you used the handheld shower. There was no overhead shower. The bathroom toiletries were standard items. The soap was a bit small but you got two of them. The bed was a bit hard so we asked for extra comforters and that seemed to work. The room itself was quiet and comfortable. They have a nice little restaurant and also a walkout to an outdoor patio covered with umbrellas. The breakfast was a la carte and had a good selection. The service was very good and the food was excellent. They also had a bar so the drink and food at this hotel was well done. Location. Just excellent. We walked everywhere and when we bought some items, it was a quick hop back to the hotel to drop them off. I only have one negative observation about a curious item. Each room has 1 key and you need that key to keep the electricity on in the room and also to access the elevator. So, it is a pain if you go back to the room at different times as the second person needs to navigate the stairs plus you have to knock on the door to get in.

This boutique hotel is right on the main square. The staff are amazing and really friendly. Our executive suite was extremely luxurous. It is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I have travelled all over the world. I can't recommend it enough! Value for Money was excellent. Lovely Breakfast.

Perfection!

Bonerowski Palace is the most gorgeous city hotel I have ever stayed at. Located right on Krakow's beautiful main square, it far exceeded our expectations. We had booked a regular room and a suite and both were palatially appointed as well as extremely large - pure luxury! From the heavy curtains to the unique decor and quality bathrooms, everything is 5 stars. It is also extremely quiet. Once you close the windows, you don't hear a sound from outside. In addition, the location could not be more perfect. This is a place that you don't want to leave! Outstanding!
