Really nice place for a family vacation in a very nice location

We just spent a week with my family in a part of the castle. It was my second visit but the first time renting an aisle of the castle. It felt like home. The place is very big, well decorated and with all the necessary equipment. I really enjoyed the park, it's very green and quiet. The big plus are the pool and the tennis course.
A great way to start the Loire

We traveled down from Cherbourg and arrived here. Like many places in France, tired and lacking some money to really make a spectacular offering. However, that does not go against it. You get a real chateau experience. The old bath, sloping flaws, fabrics, floor to ceiling windows and a dinning room to die for for breakfast really does give you a great start to your trip. The access to a tennis court and pool were welcomed. Our host was excellent, the owner, who gave us some history, advice and directed us to the local restaurant over the road for dinner! Our rooms were steeped in history, full of interesting art, objects and books that really made you feel part of France. With some neatening around the edges, would it loose its authenticity, possibly? Overall well worth a stop over if you are beaking a journey to Cherbourg from the south or setting off along the Loire.
Chateau w/pool and trampoline!

Amazing B & B. Beautiful grounds and equally fun and enjoyable for adults and kids. It is a real chateau so this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It’s perfectly located and there’s a restaurant in walking distance that’s open all week long which is rare in France!
Fantastic place for an overnight stay.

What a find! The Chateau is beautifully managed, well preserved with an abundance of original furniture. The rooms are spacious, comfortable with amazing views. The gardens are beautifully kept, the park itself has walking trails, vegetable garden (huge), rivers/lakes etc. The host is extremely friendly, speaks excellent English, provides a delicious breakfast - you really couldn't ask for more.
We felt like we were royalty.

Everything was perfect, unbelievably beautiful and hosts could not have been more gracious. It is the estate of the Duke of Craon that has been in his family for over 200 years. Having the opportunity to visit, no less to stay, was exceptional and one we will always remember.
