Dirty, smelly motel.

Very bad experience. Dirty, smelly, dirty sheets, frogs and crickets inside room. No heating or air conditioning. Far away from shops and stores. Restaurant was not very good. So called buffet was terrible.

Rebuilding plans

Reviewed 19 august, 2015

We stayed here with a group of 12 in a five beds, four beds and two two beds rooms. Wifi isn't working properly and rooms are very old. We even switched a room because of broken hot water pipes. Don't expect too much comfort in this place. Just sleep here and go out for the top site Barranco del Cobre. The restaurant is also the dining place for the local police. Don't feel scared with the big weapons around. The hotel shows rebuilding plans. Don't know when, but it's hardly needed.

Rustic is Right

Reviewed 24 march, 2014

The rooms are rustic with thin sheets, flat pillows, and hard mattresses, but the water was hot (sometimes scalding) and the heat sufficient. They have new and quiet heating units that are controlled by an employee with a remote. It's set at 30 degrees C, and one would think that's too hot, but between the cold weather and the drafty room it was about right. The food was basic, but good. My main complaint was that, although there was a strong internet signal in the room, the password was for the office router and we had to sit outside in the frigid morning air to check emails. Oh Well. Also the location is a good, long walk to the main part of the village.

Bad place

Reviewed 27 december, 2013

The site of this hotel is tricky! There's no internet service, there's no heating in the rooms, the restaurant sucks! And all the adversating is wrong! The place is far from downtown in an area full of trash! Creel is a magical town, but this hotel doesn't fit with the spirit of all landscape !!

better places for your money

Reviewed 1 january, 2013

just returned yesterday from a trip to Chihuahua which included a stay at this hotel in Creel. i was there with family,. we all agreed the town itself was worth the drive but the service at this hotel was poor. if that young lady in the office were my employee i would have fired her for her rudeness and inability to listen.we had trouble with the heater. she blamed us. the problem was finally fixed but we had to jump through hoops. next time we're staying at the best western. there is a great little restaurant close by the plaza called; cafeteria mi cafe which has an excellent cafe de holla.
