First let me say as a 15 yr veteran (back in the day) of Red Lion Hotel front desk management, Tiffany at the front desk (3-11pm shift) is an absolute keeper! She's professional, knowledgeable, friendly and does her job with a bright, infectious smile. For road weary guests drifting in throughout the evening, she is pure gold as the face welcoming guests to the property. A delight. ❤ The hotel is older but in good shape. Walls are a bit thin but the window units offer just the right amount of white noise so it isn't an issue. Room was clean and the microwave/fridge combo was appreciated. Bed was firm and comfortable and the generous Directv channel lineup was a nice surprise. Breakfast was somewhat sparse but enough to get you on the road. I had a delicious waffle and glass of milk. I passed on the coffee because the only creamer option was powdered, but that's a minor issue. My husband had some apple juice. There was fruit, prepackaged Danish and a few yogurts as well as cold cereal. Got us on our way. The Scottish Inn isn't the Westin nor does it pretend to be. It was a safe, clean, warm place to lay our heads and Tiffany's bright smile took off the edge of the long day. No complaints here!

Across from Motorsports Ranch and convenient

I was there for scca track night America on a tuesday night. There were few guests and plenty of parking for my X5 and 13 ft enclosed trailer. The room was clean but dated. Bed was comfortable and the A/C was adequate. This place needs a bit of a facelift and it would be great. Get rid of the cfl light bulbs and go to led. The tv didnt work in my room so they moved me. The place appeared to be in decline but it wouldnt take much to get it back to as new condition. The staff was very kind and friendly. The price was right and a good value. I would probably stay here again just because it is so close to the track.
Acceptable for the Price

This hotel's most redeeming feature is that it's across the street from Motorsports Ranch and the next nearest hotel is about 10 miles in either direction. The rooms are clean and breakfast is included, but it's nothing special. I've stayed several times, and it seems there's always something in need of maintenance or repair. The first time, the elevators were out when we checked in. The last time, the fridge barely kept our drinks cool. Another time, I had to use my mobile phone to call the front desk because the operator couldn't hear me over the phone in the room. This last time, they basically ran out of breakfast for at least 20 minutes. Also, while there's a pool, it's out of service. The staff is always friendly and helpful, but also at a loss to do much about the problems. For example, they didn't think the pool would ever be repaired and more or less just shrugged about it.
Acceptable Hotel Considering the Price

When you consider the price of a room, this hotel is about what you expect. It's fairly clean and the beds are comfortable which are the positives. Also, the people at the front desk are always friendly and helpful which is nice. The negatives are the walls are thin and the floors are loud. So if you are a light sleeper be prepared to hear the people above you and next door to you. I tried to solve half of this problem by getting a room on the top floor but there was something rattling on the roof which made a ton of noise. It was worse than having somebody stomping around on the floor above you. There are small items in disrepair around the facility and in the rooms. For example, my toilet seat in my room was only connected with one screw and you had to be careful when sitting so you didn't slide off with the seat. The Wifi is absolutely terrible. Not even worth using. Also, they will sometimes put you in a room that used to be a smoking room and the room smells like an ashtray. The free breakfast is pretty bad but the coffee is decent. I'd stay here again for a brief overnight trip.
