Took 45 min to check in!
One of theeee WORST Marriott’s I’ve ever stayed at because of the customer service! This hotel operates like a motel not to mention the rooms. We came in 3:20 am (New Years day) and the night auditor was AWFUL. We had been driving, working and it’s after New Years. There was only one couple checking in before us so we waited 15 min for them to be checked in THEN our check in took FORTY FIVE MINUTES! I have NEVER (in over 20 years from visiting different Marriotts and being a loyal member) had any check in take THAT long and I checked in quite a few times during audits! It seemed like the auditor was going out of his way to take his time. We were the only ones there! He totally ruined the rest of our night and it was COVID19. It’s bad enough that we still have to pay for hotel amenities that aren’t even offered but to nickel and dime me because I didn’t actually check in earlier. Maybe we could have checked in earlier if he wasn’t so slow. I will NEVER EVER stay there ever again. Not to mention there was no soap nor was there a trash bag in ANY of the trash cans and it’s COVID19.
Rude
You will be met by a poignant smell. There is a very rude and unprofessional desk attendant by the name Nubia Abrica. She’s condescending, brash and lacks customer service. She threatened to call the police on me, an African American person because she felt that i insulted her. Please make sure to NOT go to this hotel. You will be disappointed.
Horrible and Racially Charged Experience
Went to this hotel, for parking only. Front desk staff are rude to those of a different race, and the GM is incompetent, thus sides with his staff when it comes to a formal complaint. Marriott corporate office is of little help. They should have left SPG alone as it was a much better company.
Comfortable, good location
We were only here for one night, as we were up north for a work event. My room was paid for by my company, but I would stay here in the future. Check-in was quick and easy, even though they didn't have a room available for us when we arrived. Well - to clarify, they did have a room, just not an upgraded room (which they offered due to my status). We opted to wait for the room they'd allocated for us to come up, and worked in the lobby until the rest of my team trickled in. The room was large and comfortable. We were able to spread out to work for several hours (me on the lounging chair, my husband at the desk), which was nice. The chair was comfortable without being too soft, and had a small table next to it, where I piled up all my other gear. The bed was comfortable - like lying on a cloud - but the pillows were too soft for my liking. Still, the room was remarkably quiet, given our window looked out to the freeway. The shower had good pressure, and it was nice to have space to spread out to get ready for an evening event. I'm sure we would've been quite comfortable in that room had we needed to spend an extra night or two there.
Stayed here again, same great stay
I stayed here again for four nights on business. As expected, the stay was very good. the room was comfortable and quiet. Parking is $25 per day. The location is great, right across from Westside Mall. Restaurants are within walking distance. The City View rooms don't have much of a city view but it is better than looking at a building. I will likely stay here again in the future.
