Did not enjoy staying here

Reviewed 16 october, 2018

We booked our stay here from 2 separate online booking agencies (a couple of days before and a couple of days after our trek) and had some big issues. When we rocked up, we were promised a double room with a private bathroom but instead of that, we got given a twin room with what seemed to be a shared bathroom which didn't have a lock on the door and only had cold water. first strike. So we complained but weren't given the room promised to us. No only that, but they advertised they had a laundry service, which isn't the case. We had to pay extra on separate occasions at a laundry 3 blocks over. The second time we had to do this, we almost lost our clothes because it seemed as if they closed the shop before we were meant to be there and we were leaving the next day, so we tried everyone short of the police to get our clothes back, which we finally got back at 9pm the night before leaving. Strike two. Finally, I know its a 3* hotel, but the breakfast, when you actually get it, is very very sub-par. We'll return to Cusco one day, but we wont be staying here.

Very friendly staff

Reviewed 15 march, 2017

The staff is their best feature, they are very helpful and would go out of their way to please you. They make breakfast for you every morning with delicious bread !The rooms are ok for what you pay; pretty basic but clean. I had a single, it was dark because the only window looks into a gallery , the bathroom was tiny with only one towel, I had to ask for more. Decent for the price.

Home away from home!

The staff were so helpful and made us feel so welcome! They would also check on you about your altitude sickness. The direct surrounding area doesn't have much but a few minutes of walking and you can go to the more touristy part of town. The hotel was well maintained and very clean and always had a pot of hot water ready for some tea. We loved it here and highly recommend it!

Great hotel in unique part of town!

Reviewed 7 june, 2016

This was a great hotel to stay in for our last two nights in Cusco. The room was clean, the staff was very helpful, and we were located in an interesting part of town near a great artisan market. This is not a particularly touristy part of town, however it was about a 10-15 minute walk to Plaza de Armas which was very reasonable. By staying a little further out, you'll get a better quality hotel for the price. In addition to being close to the craft market, you'll also be a quick walk to the Qurikancha site, which is definitely worth doing in Cusco. This is also close to the train station, a cheap cab to the airpot, and is around the corner from a neighborhood market should you want lunch or groceries. Our room was modern and clean, and there was good hot water, however it lasted about 5 minutes per shower which worked for us. The breakfast is pretty standard for Peru--bread, butter, jam, juice, and coffee. The wifi worked very well, the kitchen can be used by guests, and it was a very quiet stay. I definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for nice accommodations at a reasonable price.
