Very noise
I was staying at the hotel last week. if you want to spend a bad night and not rest anything then choose this hotel. super loud They clean the rooms at five in the morning. A horrible noise. It is a hotel that ignores the suggestions. I stayed three nights without resting well.
Mistake
Shady area to walk around for tourists, trying to find a meal without a taxi was sketchy too. Staff didn’t help us find another accommodation after our online confirmation wasn’t honored. I will pay the extra $20 to know I have an actual room at a nice hotel next time.
Best hotel on our budget Peru trip
I would give this hotel five stars if there had been an elevator. At Cusco's elevation, we got winded easily climbing up to our fourth floor room. But it was a great room! There were two separate bedrooms with comfy queen beds and loads of bed coverings to keep us warm. Nice hot shower with updated showerhead. And a small sitting area with a microwave. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and yummy. They even packed a paper breakfast bag to take with us early in the morning. Kind staff.
Decent Hotel at a Decent Price
My wife and I stayed here before and after a trip to Machu Picchu. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable with extra thick blankets to keep you warm during cold Cusco nights. The water pressure in the walk in showers was strong, and the water was nice and hot. The hotel offers everything you could need while in Cusco such as information about tours and laundry service. The staff were always very polite and personable, as well as fluent in both Spanish and English. We took advantage of the baggage storage while on our trip. When we returned from a 5 day trip, our luggage was waiting for us in our new room. Breakfast is well balanced offering fruits, breads, meats, and eggs. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.
Great breakfast and warm rooms
After 3 freezing nights in another non heated hotel before my Machu Picchu trip I was desperate to come back to somewhere heated and struggled to find many sensibly priced options so was pleased to find Golden Inca. Pros: -rooms as per the photos. Comfy bed with proper duvet, lots of storage, modern bathroom with hairdryer and good hot water/pressure. Room made up daily with clean towels too. Heating available from 7pm with a radiator but internal facing rooms kept their heat although did get stuffy in the day with no airflow. -nice breakfast buffet served on the top floor with views of the city. Lots of choice and was topped up until 10am. -good WiFi speed and can pay by visa/MasterCard -ten minute walk to the beginning of the old quarters and around 15 mins from Plaza De Armas. Not many shops along the street but a few stands to buy water etc. 4-6 soles in a taxi from the plaza or a mostly flat walk. 12 soles taxi ride to the airport (20 mins). Cons: -rooms can be noisy as the sound travels a lot. The windows are thin and there is a central staircase so the noise echoes round the whole building. Take earplugs if you are a light sleeper. -check in process the longest I’ve had on my trip. Receptionist distracted with other phone calls and didn’t acknowledge me waiting. Forms seem duplicated with info they already have from the reservation online. Had to pay at check in. -found staff to be polite enough but not give an inch more than their responsibilities, very wooden. Found the night receptionist asleep on the sofa snoring away with shoes off under a blanket! They would prioritise the phone or other staff to deal with first before you and would take a while to recognise you are waiting to be dealt with. If this hotel gave a bit more with its service I’d give it a 5/5.
