More about the hotel
Just reopened - great location
Stayed there with my son the day after it re-opened...it is in a central location and is adjacent to the JW Marriott...customer service was very responsive...good central area to hang-around in...room was clean and tidy...the washroom could have been a bit roomier...very few guests so surprised we weren't upgraded to a bigger room.....guess we can tag no Pisco Sour at the bar to early days of reopening. good value for your $$$ as it's a third the rate of the JW.
Extremely disappointed
It is worth mentioning the staff at the restaurant and cleaning staff were polite and very friendly and food was lovely; however, the receptionist I had to deal with at the checkout was very rude. The guest in front of me in the queue was a foreign national and was treated very respectfully. Unfortunately as soon as I spoke Spanish, the staff member ignored all my queries and continued to take phonecalls. Then he refused to receive a 100 dollar note which was perfectly fine and already tested to discard it being fake without a reason. Then proceeded to ignore me again, take phonecalls and talk to other people. There is a marked difference in the way reception staff treats guests depending on their nationality despite having signs everywhere stating that DISCRIMINATION IS FORBIDDEN IN THE PRECINCT. Also, no conditioner or body lotion provided despite it being a four star hotel. Unfortunately would not recommend.
Comfortable and clean hotel
We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Novotel Hotel in Cusco. We had two rooms - before and after our visit to Machu Picchu. Both rooms were well prepared, clean and the beds very comfortable. The food at breakfast was varied and well worth the cost. Special mention should go out to Joseph on the Reception Desk for his assistance with our travel questions and printing of our Airline Boarding Passes. Of note as well, is the efficiency of Carlos, one of the Hotel Concierges. He was always available to help and welcome us as we entered or exited the Hotel.
Amazing experience!
I was so happy to come to Cusco and explore this ancient city. I was so glad to have booked my stay at Novotel Cusco. My wife and I are thrilled with the high level of service and top notch accommodations. For example they have a superb breakfast set up to get you going healthy and nourished. The staff are super friendly. What an amazing experience. Thank you Novotel Cusco.
Charming Heritage Hotel in Great location, with Great Staff!
Its a heritage hotel being set up in a old Spanish villa/bungalow. the central courtyard is very charming and right out of a movie set. The hotel is the middle of the historical district and a few steps away from the main cusco town square. A great place to walk around and see the charming Cusco town. The staff has been the highlight of the hotel. We reached early from an overnight trip and very graciously they gave our room hours before check in. Without that we would have had a very hard time. We were also feeling little sick due to the altitude and the hotel has made arrangements even for oxygen and also there is cocoa tea ready for all the guests. The staff were always helpful helping with the taxi and tours and all possible guidance. We booked the Machu Pichu tour from the hotel agency. It was perfectly coordinated and we had an excellent trip, I would really recommend the travel desk. We had few meals in the hotel just to enjoy the courtyard. The food was quite good and we enjoyed our meals.
