Friendly, clean, helpful and excellent breakfast!
Hard to find. It is a small street and even a 70+ woman did not know of the street or Inn. Also bus driver told us to go the wrong way. Hope you have good GPS! But worth it. The staff was kind, friendly, helpful and sweet. The room was clean and perfect. Free sparkling water. A restaurant down the street same owner was Drei Rosen (3 Roses) and it was so very good and very excellent German food. There is a bistro down the street too (turn right on the street-go 3 blocks) Shakespeare Bistro, great woman bartender who is pleasant and speaks English too. She works part-time evenings until midnight. Again, the Duh-Inn was so cute, wonderful and has drinks and coffee you can order and drink in the little patio area.
BIG rooms, good service
This is a centrally located family run hotel close to shops and also to the Old Part of Dachau. The rooms are BIG, clean and service was good. The breakfast buffet is fresh and comprehensive. Dachau is also a good place to use to visit Munich only 20 minutes away on trains which run every 20 minutes.
very comfortable, open room.
We had an top floor room in a building about 5mins walk away from the main hotel where breakfast was. The room was huge and very comfortable. You have to walk to the main reception building for breakfast (which was excellent). lots of restaurants and cafe's around the hotel, 15mins walk to the old city centre. Tea and Coffee making is available in the outer building we were in (on a different floor). 10 mins walk to train station. They advertise parking but its not onsite and you have to jostle for parks with the locals. it IS free but sometimes it might not be so easy and it won't be at the accomodation. There is a free outside carpark near the outer building we were at (3mins walk). bit of a pain as we specifically booked this hotel as it advertised free parking which i suppose it technically true.
Friendly Family Hotel
We stayed for one night before visiting Dachau concentration camp which was a 5 minute drive away. We were warmly welcomed & given a large room on the first floor (19). It was at the top of wooden stairs & we were woken up by people coming in at 3am - there had been a wedding nearby so it's not really the hotel's fault. The room was spacious, but had creaky floorboards, with a nice shower room. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and the usual bavarian style with our egg request cooked to order.
MARRIAGE WEEKEND
A little loud if you have little ones. Location excellent but seems to be a place where speeding cars and late night meet-ups are fairly common. Staff is very helpful and courteous. No A/C and insects are out in full force. Internet was spotty at best. Again, not good with little ones who rely on electronics and or TV. Dogs bark at random times of the night to go along with the average drunken person walking and partying. Overall good stay but consider going during cooler months versus summer time and leave the kiddos at home. Definitely a place where you can go bar and party hopping but not a place for little ones due to the noise factor.
