More about the hotel
Interesting place for a stopover/weekend
We had one night in this well run small hotel. Spacious room (I think we may have been upgraded as the room certainly looked bigger than we were expecting). Good sized bath with shower over and lots of hot water. We had a room overlooking the courtyard which may be noisy in high summer but was fine in September. Excellent breakfast and delicious coffee. Parking is available a couple of minutes walk away and they don't charge you. Good wifi. Helpful staff, some spoke English. Only negatives - distinct lack of toiletries and a very frayed/torn net curtain at the window. Overall good and we'd go back if in the area.
Could be better
Overall the hotel has all the ingredients to be very good or excellent. Daroca is a lovely place and well worth a visit. The rooms are good even if the layout is a little quirky. Unfortunately our shower would not get hotter than barely tepid. Breakfasts are ok and hotel location good. Limited choice of evening meals. Parking is good (once you’ve navigated the very narrow back streets). Most rooms look over the courtyard area. This seems to be popular with locals whose children use it as a play area so can be noisy early evening. Our biggest gripe was the surly and unhelpful bar man/receptionist. He should consider a career change. Overall the staff did not bring much cheer which gave the whole atmosphere of the hotel a rather sorry feel.
A must Stay at Hotel
A place to be pampered at , Excellent service and very cheerful staff , they bent over backwards to make sure my disabled wife was comfortable and able to negotiate her way around the property with ease ,
Daroca experience
Staff very friendly and helpful and speak english. Set in the centre of this historic town but was very quiet. There was private car parking a short way from the hotel. Had an excellent pizza in the cafeteria. Breakfast was included, basic but adequate.
Lovely location
We stayed in this beautiful medieval town to break our journey from France to Spain. The town is all cobble stoned and beautiful. The hotel was ok but not very busy. Room was ok. The evening meal was very disappointing and breakfast wasn’t much better. However it was lovely to have seen this very special little piece of history.
