More about the hotel
Standard Marriott
My husband and I were in Denver for a Billy Joel concert and we stayed here for two night. We had a two room suite with a king bed. The room was okay. The sitting room wasn't bad. It had a pull out couch with two upholstered charis. There was a desk with a chair on roller and another desk as a credenza. The bedroom was on the small side with a king bed. The bed was too big for the bedroom. The bathroom needed some maintenance. The door had a wear spot on it because it rubbed against the toilet. The toilet handle was causing the toilet to run if you didn't adjust it. One of the sliding doors to the closet was tough to move. The only light in the bathroom was above the sink, making it dark in the shower. There was a French door separating the bedroom from the sitting room, which was nice. Each room had a TV. There was a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room, no safe. Breakfast was standard for a Marriott. The staff was friendly and courteous.
Hotel is old and doesn't feel clean
Reviewed Jan 2020: 6 nights in a "suite" which had two rooms, but it was pretty small... furniture didn't fit and it was in the way. The finishes are quite old and banged up (scuffed/scratched furniture and walls, water damage on bath door, bath spigot not firmly attached). I was afraid the toilet was not going to flush because it's so weak. I saw the front desk clerk carrying a wet plunger in a garbage bag back to the desk, so I suspect it's not just my room with this problem. The couch in my room was so dirty, I was afraid to sit on it... from the looks of it, I'm not sure it wouldn't fall apart. The mattress had springs that you can feel when you lay on it, and they are so old they make noises when you lay on them. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The little convenience store in the lobby had a lot of empty shelves and very little choice in items to purchase. There are only cheap plastic cutlery and paper plates. Not a real glass in the house. Traveling on business, so I couldn't really switch hotels. In the spirit of finding something nice to say: the staff was friendly, the WiFi was reliable, the sheets were clean, and the breakfast was OK. All in all, I wouldn't stay here again. It feels like the hotel is getting ready to shut down rather than get fixed up.
Not the best experiance
Got in late for check-in. Front desk clerk gave us the room key. We got up to the room and opened the door and someone was sleeping in the room. went back down stairs and the front desk clerk gave us another room key to a room which was thankfully unoccupied. We were there for 3 days rooms were not terrible but certainly not up to the Marriott brand standard we are used to (not dirty but not sparkling and fresh when cleaned, also rooms out of date. had to adjust the mattress so that is was not hanging off the bed frame)! Not the hotels fault but there was also a youth rugby team staying in the hotel and the players were up all night screaming and laughing in the hallway. Hot breakfast was good. Used points for half of my stay and cash for the other half which I have done many times in the past with no issue. However, this time, the front desk clerks could not seem to connect the reservations so I ended up having to go down for new room keys every day or else I would be locked out of my room. Lastly there are only two elevators and during the day, they are extremely slow!! ..........Overall just not what I am used to when staying at a Marriott hotel.
Good seviced apartment, well equipped, not great breakfast, helpful staff
4 night stay. Convenient location for downtown and access to major roads. Decent apartment, clean, staff very always helpful. Breakfast was not great, odd choices, pork patties were awful, scrambled egg was like rubber, even when it was newly made. Good value for Denver, free parking was a real bonus. would stay again
Good value, good location
The hotel is right off the freeway so pretty convenient to the airport or downtown - without a ton of traffic. You are within walking distance to several restaurants and a little shopping. The staff is very friendly and helpful - from the front desk to the breakfast folks. The sleeping room furniture is showing quite some age, but all in all fairly comfortable. The weekend price was very attractive.
