Dinnervout
We have visited a couple of times recently and as always we have found the staff and the owner Russell polite and helpful. The refurbishment is really nice and the food great. They have done really well
DISAPOINTING BREAKFAST
Booked through booking, com £67 for one night breakfast included, rooms are small with tea and coffee making facilities, small TV on wall, lovely shower, ate in the bar in the evening which was nice. The reviews of the breakfast are what made me book this hotel,on arrival in the room a card on the bed notified us that breakfast is now continental only unless you pay extra for cooked breakfast,£6.99,we declined and opted for the continental fare which consisted of cereal, croissants, jam and a bowl of seven strawberry yoghurts (warm!!). Wish we had done the one night stay at premier inn with the meal deal, What i can say is the staff are lovely, esprcially our evening waitress called Lek,she was a delight, A young lady showed me to our room and left her bar duties to do so,very nice girl. Lady on breakfast duty in the morning was also lovely. Ok,but wont be back.
I came for a couple of drinks, especially this sort of environment.
I’ve came round the area, they’re relatively close with the bar opposite R&R. They’ve not let me back in once I’ve been for a drink over the road. I’ve spoken to the locals, and they took my pint away.
Lovely food, good service
Went to the Lawns for dinner. I am a bit of a foodie where burgers are concerned. I love them but only if they are really good quality seasoned and cooked well, unfortunately I am often disappointed. But not this time. The burger we had at the Lawns was wonderful! I also saw the fish and chips at the next table, they looked great too. It looks like the place has had a facelift, it has been done very tastefully
A good Sunday lunch
This hotel now has new owners. The dining room as been refurbished to a good standard. It is now a lot better with the removal of the row of American style booths. The Sunday roast lunch which we all had was very good. There was a good choice of tender roast meats with plenty of freshly cooked vegetables to help yourselves to. We all enjoyed the food that we had. We also found the staff to be friendly and obliging. Well worth a visit.
