Close to O‘Hare airport
I stayed here for two nights. The room was spacious and clean so far. What I absolutely didn‘t like at all was that housekeeping knocked on my door, altough I had the „do not disturb“-sign hanging outside my room! There are located some restaurants within walking distance. The shuttle service from the terminals worked well on the day of my arrival.
most unwelcoming place I've ever seen
Stayed at the Rosemont location for the first and definitely last time. In all my years of traveling (I have almost 400 marriott stays alone) I dont know of a place I've felt more unwelcome and unwanted. From the moment I walked in the place was dark and dead. Then had to wait a few minutes for someone to notice I was there and come out to talk to me. At checkin, no welocome, no thank you for being a bonvoy gold, no welcome gift offer, and honestly no help with upgrading or even suggesting where I could best park to walk up the stairs. (there were very few cars in the lot, unlike every other R-I I've been at in the last few months - I can see why) First night, I wanted to use the grill. The whole outside area was dark and uninviting, granted it was a nice November evening in Chicago and there is little activity, but also it is like the place was ready to close up for good in a few days and the owners already were months behind in the electric bill. Next morning, I went up for some food. All I got was a paper bag with which someone asked what I want in it. No menu posted, no way of knowing the offering other than asking what they had. I asked for coffee and there was only a half glass given, I asked for sweetener and creamers and got one creamer and a sugar (not a sweetener) No wrapped up bar, no fruit offer, just a bowl of cereal and some type of roll. It wasnt worth the time to go back the next day so I made the coffee in my room and bough some items to microwave. Guess what. The microwave was broken so I had nothing warm to eat, and just brough my food to the offer and cooked it there. What a worthless place. If nothing else I deserve bonvoy point for the inconvenience, but really I'm not coming back here. Not that it mattered, but as I was leaving, there were full black garbage in the hallway and a black back filled with garbage and an old luggage cart laying around my prison perp walk on the way out. What a disgrace.
Great location for single night near ORD
Single night stay....lots of dining options nearby! Suite was fine...but without groceries and such the full kitchen wasn’t needed. Alerted management that the toaster in room was kaput.....so breakfast bag with bagel was sort of mushy. For a single night, probably a few better options, but for a longer stay...I’d come back!
Residence Inn
My this review is same as my previous review. If you are checking in on the morning then pray that you don't come face to face with rude staff. Most of the staff is really sweet and nice but it takes only one person to sour your entire stay. Kitchen staff is the best. About cleaning, someday it's very good and some days it's very bad. What's the point of washing utensils in dish washer if utensils are still super dirty. I would suggest to give utensil cleaning soap and scrub to each room. Breakfast needs a drastic improvement. Now days i don't feel that I am staying in Marriott because of those disposable plates, knives ,spoons, bowls. At least proper cutlery should be provided at breakfast.
Stupid place
Really dumb place.. we got 2 suites and 1 normal room and the door knobs for all the bathrooms in all the bedrooms weren’t working, The light wasn’t working in the rooms in the suites, some staff were very rude. The pool is outdoors which is also stupid because this is Chicago and it’s literally always cold here so I don’t know what idiot with the right sense would do that. Anyways it had good WiFi and comforting beds.
