Nice rooms and modern hotel.

Nice large rooms with very good service. Comfortable furniture and nice amenities. Breakfast was good even during this covid time frame. They had snacks to sell if you were hungry and right next door was a fun restaurant. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Would stay here again

Location was great. Almost directly across from Henderson State Park (which provides beach friendly wheel chairs for day use). Stayed on the first floor next to pool and laundry facilities. Quiet. Clean. Friendly.

In need of updating. Room lighting was very poor. The bathroom lighting was the worst! Carpet is old and dirty and the walls needed painting. Our upgraded room included a balcony which faced an adjacent busy, noisy highway. Overpriced and not worth the money!

Water view is more like a highway view, with the noise to match!

Hotel sits on a highway. Waterview is across 8 lanes, a bunch of trees, and waayyyyy back in the corner (if you squint) you can see water. The "water" view rooms are likely the worst rooms as the noise from cars and trucks gunning up this highway is nonstop. Hotel is completely misrepresented and priced based on the view. Essentially, I booked this hotel at a premium price and there is nothing premium about this experience. Room is dark and was oddly configured. Wait.. I take that back about the highway noise being nonstop. When the loud a/c would kick in, it would drown out the highway noise. A/C temp was impossible to control. Either we were freezing or hot. Eventually put a towel on part of the a/c to regulate it. At night it sounded like a tribe was doing a water dance in the room above. Into the night, stomping, running, laughs, etc. all could be heard in our room. Free breakfast had a lot of potential but everything was wet. Sausage, eggs, and prefab cheese omelets were all sitting in water. Yick. There were a lot of grab and go options but part of the draw, for me, was the turkey sausage I saw in the pic and the water was gross. Communication is an issue at this hotel. Before I finalized my reservation, I called to discuss the "view" and the beach proximity. I upgraded my room to ensure the "water" view and canceled the other hotel I was contemplating. Big mistake.. The hotel sits on an 8 lane highway. Any other depiction of this view is inaccurate. Also, I was told there was no room service, unless requested. This is fine. After spraying and wiping down my room, I don't want anyone entering. Not to mention I travel with valuables and this room had no safe. More reason I wouldn't request room service. As a secondary precaution, I always left the do not disturb sign on the door. Returned to the room on night 2 and the room has been entered and my DND sign is gone. Of course, I was livid. Money and jewelry were in my personally sanitized room and what happened to having to request room service??! OH, what they meant to say is there is no room service but they come in and bring towels and make your bed unless the DND sign was on the door. Well, all of this is a fail on the hotel's part. I had a sign so what happened to it?? I can only assume that someone didn't have a sign in their room and stole our sign. Or, housekeeping entered and missed the sign and took it to cover tracks. Either way, what a jerk but ultimately that's hotel fail because they should make sure every room has a sign and communicate what the actual room service policy is because I could have opted out at check in. While the night clerk was empathetic and concerned, the GM Maria was seemingly unfazed by the entry into my room. The hotel is on the heart of the strip that runs through Destin but I would highly recommend staying somewhere else unless you get a great deal and are cool with all the things I've detailed. The hotel is not for folks with discerning tastes or expectations of views or relaxation. This whole experience was stressful and management is lackluster. There are a ton of hotels or private rentals I now would choose if I return.

Great hotel across the street from the state park.

We loved our stay. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast is great if you eat meat but lacking for vegetarians or vegans. Adding some fruits, as is standard for continental breakfasts, would have got you 5 stars. We could only have the oatmeal. However we loved how close we were to the beach and the staff are nice if you need anything. Would stay again. And hopefully you guys will have fruit. 😂
