Horrible experience

Reviewed 29 september, 2022

Our confirmation email had the total price as $98.32 (after taxes and fees). Our final receipt charged us $103.48. When I asked the woman at the desk, she supposedly fixed something and gave me a new receipt but it still was charging $103.48. I again showed her my app, then she gave me a receipt for $98. On my credit card, there is a charge for $98, a credit for $98 and another charge for $103.48, so we were again charged the higher amount. Also this location is awful. We stayed in room 205, the uncomfortable bed is held up by bricks, which stick out from the side of the bed and which I stubbed my toe on. The railing going up the stairs is very wiggly and seems like it would break easily. Also the room & hotel didn't seem cleaned. The continental breakfast was subpar, with nobody around to refill anything. Other people were also there complaining of the lack of items. It was about an hour before breakfast ended, the syrup was empty, all of the yogurts were gone and the waffle batter was the consistency of water so they were bad. I waited and waited without seeing anyone. Finally I rang the bell at the desk, when a man finally arrived, his English was difficult to understand and he told us he didn't know where anything was or what he was doing. I helped him get the yogurts out of the big fridge & stored in the little one. Helped him find and refill the syrup and had to show him how to make the waffle batter and then mixed it myself. Once I made the batter, the waffles turned out fine, so it was clearly how it had been made before that was the problem. Typically I like Wyndham and usually start looking at Wyndham properties first, but this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. It seems that they are doing a bait and switch on the price and the poor breakfast and putting the guests at risk, by not maintaining a safe & clean environment.

This place is horrible

Reviewed 9 july, 2022

A serious dump. Should be way cheaper, like $20/night. Shower curtain was greasy from previous guests hands, carpets was dirty, and sheets seemed like they were not very fresh. Trash everywhere outside. The positive is that it's dog friendly. They really need to renovate this place.

Smelly Room

Reviewed 3 july, 2022

The bathroom smelled of urine and the hallways had an unpleasant smell of incense. No breakfast even though their reservation site said otherwise. We arrived very late at night so just ran the fan and went to bed. It was the only option as the other hotels and motels were full. We did book this 2 days before travel and at that time it was the only place on Kemerrer with rooms. I suggest little america or rock springs if you need a stay.

Run down and dirty

Reviewed 15 march, 2022

The hotel exterior is run down but I gave it a chance. Unfortunately, it is dirty inside too. I asked to check a room beforehand to make sure there was no evidence of bed bugs (there was not), although I could tell it wasn't very clean with marks on the walls but I let that go. After checking in, I realized the bathroom sink had never been cleaned from the previous occupant and no new towels had been provided. There was one unused towel left from previous time. I let the manager know, and he gave me a $15.00 credit. Later talking with a friend who previously worked for Super 8, in a different town, I learned that there are different crews who make beds vs those who clean bathrooms. So it sounds like the bathroom cleaning crew never made it through. Based on other reviews, this is probably happening a lot. The one plus side is that it is in a quiet area so road noise is not an issue, probably no matter what room one is in. I would not stay there again nor recommend to anyone unless I saw reviews showing it was under new management and there were signs of improvement. Next time I will try a mom and pop hotel in the town of Kemmerer.

Super 8 Stays Are Terrible

Reviewed 27 september, 2021

DO NOT STAY AT "Stupid 8". Hair clippings in sink, hair clippings in tub, pee stains on toilet, sheets/blankets not changed, used soap found at top of shower, no houskeeping on site, wife ended up cleaned the room. No other Wyndham Rewards hotel in the area to use my points. Filed a complaint with Wyndham Rewards for my points back. Local hotels had nothing good to say about Super 8.
