Stop off on way to alps
It was primarily picked as we hadn't pre-booked a hotel on route. It was dirt cheap. 4 stars given as it was cheap and cheerful . You get what you pay for and that was basic. Not sure what people expect for £30 but obviously this has a bearing on the facilities. Easy to find, parking, we arrived on Sunday eve so not alot close to get food so bear this in mind but it was a Sunday. Staff were polite and talked some English. One comment they charged me twice via card machine, luckily I noticed this and the staff member didn't seem to know what he was doing. They couldn't refund me via the card machine ??? In the end they had to send me a cheque to the UK. To be fair it was a bit weird but they did send this out asap.
Motorcycle tour
Sat Nav let us down on the address on the web site but a friendly local helped us find the hostel. 24 hr reception was a bonus as again we were very late getting there. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Room was good but got lost once trying to find it.
Far away and dissapointing breakfast
Bunk bed rooms were tidy, well planned with bathroom inside (but with walls of plastic, airplane-style). Sockets at every bed. Wardrobes as well if you feel like making yourself comfortable. Rooms were pretty old fashion,- the whole hostel was. Except for restaurant that was pretty fresh and modern with white walls. Breakfast extremely dissapointing - you got a "ticket" to show at the restaurant and you could pick- and- choose a few items which wouldn't keep you full for so long. 30-40 minutes to centrum, not sure if there were any buses to catch, I walked. Staff pretty lazy, not very service minded. I guess if you have a bike or car this would be a good place. No kitchen tho so not a great place for backpackers.
Terrible place.. if you wanna die, go here!!
It is the worst place i've ever been at.. very small bathrooms.. the flow of water is very limited, so you can't have a shower. you have to pay 2 euros for towels.. The food is really poor, if you want to feed, you have to pay extra.
Good hostel for cheap money
We were 3 people in a 4 man room and it was thus a very cheap stay. It was also a very clean and neat place. Breakfast was included in the price and it filled you up for the day, but nothing to hurra for, so I don't think I would book other meals. Our room was out to the main road, but if you normally live in the city (like I do), the traffic noise was nothing out of the ordinary. It was a 30-40 min walk to Dijon Ville (main station) and maybe 30 min to the city center. If I was looking for cheap accommodation in Dijon again, I would defiantly return. In short: very good to the price.
