Horrible food!
We stayed here for 5 days with our students (17 - 19 years of age). The staff was Romanian, the communication was difficult! The food was really bad. A few students became ill after eating dinner! I had to throw up one night immediately after supper. The entire week the food was horrible! Breakfast and food you order in the restaurant are good!
Tirrible!
The first night we stayed at the hotel, the boss of the hotel came into our room. While we were standing naked, he knocked and came in right away. When we got our breakfast, there was no salt, when we asked if we could have some, the woman who was walking around told us that she couldn’t speak English, there was no normal bread. When we came back to the hotel in the evening, we got our dinner. My friend got sick because of the food they served. We almost didn’t eat, because it was so discusting, we looked at the tableclotch and noticed that we got the same tableclotch every night. It kept going like this, but our minds where blown when we got lasagne that looked horrible (so we didn’t eat it) and when she (the waitress) took it, she gave it to an other table. The room: the room was to small for five people, when they “cleaned” the room they did not change the sheets. The shower was good BUT, when we showered the bathroom was under water, it almost reached the bedroom. The pillows where flat and hard, so we had to fold them. We all got a stiff neck. We did NOT enjoy our stay at this hotel at all. NEVER AGAIN
Avoid it
We have been there for a night and we are not going to get back. Staff was totally unfriendly and the landlord was really impolite. one room was not ready and they tried to make us pay 100€ more. The building is generally OK, but the landlord behavior had been unacceptable. Avoid it.
Home away from home
The hotel is located next to the main road, at about 700 m from the Monclassico railway station. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with all in-room facilities needed for a one week ski trip. The ski deposit offered for free was great to store our equipment. The breakfast was Italian style, with an emphasis on pastries. The staff including the manager is very friendly and helpful with a great attention to details.
Nice hotel, staff need cheering up!
I stayed at the Hotel Monclassico with my son and 2 friends (adults). The room was nice, very clean with a nice bathroom and lovely shower. We didn't try the restaurant there but we did have breakfast which was ok (see below) I had a problem with the heating in my room and it was fixed immediately when I spoke to reception about it. The only downside (hence not a "very good") was that the owner was decidedly grumpy, especially when it came to breakfasts which were "guarded" to make sure you didn't get too much food. As there are loads of this type of hotel in the area the managers could do with brightening up their attitude, then it really would be a pleasure to stay there
