Restaurants and bars can be found in its immediate vicinity and the bus station is just a 5-minute walk away. Very good hotel, with great Covid-19 measures

We have been in Dresden shortly before GErmany started the second lockdown and I must say I felt very safe. The hotel was very well prepared, including the breakfast buffet. We had a large room for the family and I was afraid of what to expect based on some of the feedbacks here, but it was outstanding. We needed additional pillows and blakets and they were promptly solved. The hotel is located very central and you can reach anywhere by foot. We parked on the public parking in front of the police station, a couple of minutes walk and worked great. The hotel also offers a bike rack where we left our bikes cost-free. Just at check-in could have been better, but as a whole, we had a great stay.
My short solo stay at Melia Dresden

It was as always ok, did not have time for extra services, breakfast as always super and already at 6:30. The fact though that i could not charge my non-Tesla EV overnight was a big disappointment. So if that will not change i will not stay here anymore.

I really do have to say, that this Hotel was one of the best Melia Hotels that I have ever been. Maybe even the best Hotel ever. Everything was great. Except the Mini-Bar was empty. Even though it is supposed to be refilled one time per day for free.
Great location, spacious rooms, safe environment during COVID

We’ve stayed here on two occasions, one night at the “townhouse” room, another in the “loft” room. While the former I cannot really recommend (don’t see the point of having stairs in your room and the a/c didn’t work, also the furniture was a bit run down), the “loft” is really spacious and pleasant. The hotel is very conveniently located right in downtown Dresden and is easily reachable by car. If you have a large vehicle, in addition to their own underground parking, there is a public car park around the corner. What is really Important is that the management and staff tried very hard to implement safety rules during the COVID pandemic and made us feel very safe. That goes from strict distancing rules and service during breakfast (instead of the traditional buffet) and continues to disinfected TV remotes in the rooms. Good job!
Avaricious policies !!

We reserved a room, complete with a small but free mini bar that wasn't available due to Covid 19, no doubt. We were then told we could buy drinks from the fridge at the reception for €3.-- per drink which were EXACTLY the same as those that should have been in the mini bar. Very avaricious and small minded, i can understand the reasons that there was no mini bar, but to try and charge for same stuff is really taking the biscuit, big time. After some discussion, the mini bar was re-instated but one really should not have to go to this effort to get something that was clearly included and available in the price. Otherwise a very nice hotel, well situated in the centre of Dresden.
