Quiet and pet budget friendly hotel
Stay here for one week visiting friends during covid-19 pandemic so no breakfast, but it's nice clean and quiet hotels. My pet doesn't alert much with a strange voices like other places, locations was close to many restaurants and breakfast places.
Sleepless night
I had the front room upstairs. It was so loud that I had to go and purchase ear plugs. I tried to ignore the cars and trucks driving by, but very difficult. And about the bed, each time I move or turn on the bed it would just make a lot of creeking sounds, and so I think the bed was just old.
Back to the 60s.
This is a 1950s-style motel on the Old Route 66. It has that look and feel. Advertises that it is close to the City of Hope, and it is. Otherwise, there are better, albeit pricier choices in nearby Arcadia.
Good location for hospital, but otherwise poor choice
This is the closest hotel if you are visiting City of Hope Hospital and need to walk, however, if you are renting a car you would do well to stay elsewhere. It is very old and in need of updating and maintenance.
HIDDEN PET FEE!
The accommodations were fairly clean, the hotel is centrally located. There is no elevator. The complimentary breakfast is basically cold cereal and white bread. The biggest problem is the hidden pet fee of $20/pet. This is not mentioned anywhere on the website or confirmation email and by the time you get there to check in, it's too late to cancel the reservation.
