Stayed here for one night on business. Room was in need of everything. Furniture looked flat packed and old, wallpaper coming off wall, bathroom was OK but shower not good.
Power did not work in room but got it sorted within 90 mins. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Two portable air con units in room but to noisy to keep on at night and room so warm as no window could be opened.
Great room , terrible service !!!

We where pleasantly surprised with the hotel, for the price we paid the room was fantastic and as good as any 4 star or even 5 star. The blonde lady on reception was very courteous at all times the two stars I have are for the lady and the room. The loss of the other 3 was the service in general or the lack of .
The guy on reception all in black on Friday the 20/08 looks like he genuinely hates his job!!
Our room keys kept failing and when we asked after 3 days for a room clean we got new towels , I work in the industry and found that hygiene in this particular hotel let a lot to be desired.
Other than that I would recommend anyway as the price does not fit the quality of room we got , great room !
So much more than a 2star hotel.

Spent 2 completely restful nights in this little gem of a Hotel. Have to say it offers the best value in the city. Just a few minutes stroll from St Stephens Green, the Camden St Hotel was a fabulous find. Warm and courteous welcome on arrival with complimentary tea and coffee in reception. Room was spacious with comfy king size bed and divine mattress and linens. Ensuite bath/shower with loads of hot water and toiletries provided. All staff were friendly, professional, obliging. Pass no heed on the fake windows in some of the rooms. It's a blessing in a city.
Will return again soon.
Wouldn’t recommend staying.

We had originally booked Temple Bar Lane hotel for a two night stay but we got an email after booking that stated Temple Bar Lane was not open with a message of “Due to a limited number of reservations we unfortunately are unable to accommodate your stay in the Temple Bar Lane Hotel” but we were offered Camden Street Hotel which was fair enough.
We arrived to the hotel and met a lovely receptionist who was prompt with our check in, we got to our room and I genuinely wouldn’t wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It stank of a stale smoke smell, windows where disgusting and didn’t close properly, bed felt as if it was going to fall through and the bath panel was hanging off the bath.
My partner went down to reception to advise we didn’t want to stay and could we have a refund as we were leaving. The lady at reception advised us we had to call the original hotel (Temple Bar Lane) which we did, they then referred us to call our booking site. The hotel refused our first night refund as we were in the room over an hour, which we found hard to believe as we checked in at 6:30pm and by the time we actually got round to our booking site calling the hotel on our behalf it was then 7:20. We ended up leaving the hotel anyway without the first nights refund as we literally couldn’t stay there.
Our experience with The Camden Hotel couldn´t be any worse

Our experience with The Camden Hotel couldn´t be any worse. Due to the lockdown, we have been unable to travel on the dates we booked. We expected a refunding (I guess no one is allowed to travel these days from countries under lockdown) since we were unable to travel and enjoy the accomodation. We sent an email weeks before to make sure the accomodation was aware of the situation. It seemed they were not, or at least they did not care. They decided to charge the full booking price, and as a "compensation" they decided to give us a voucher to be used in the following 3 months (12 in a further communication). This hotel is going to use other people´s money (people who will pay for nothing, like us) for their benefit, and has no consideration at all for the dramatic situation we are all living at the moment. Unethical management like this should be punished, if not legally, at least by potential customers avoiding this kind of businesses. Don´t risk by booking with The Cadem Hotel, they will not respond for any inconvenience beyond your responsabilities as a customer.
As a final remark, I will state that our stay "finished" today. We are at home in Spain, unable (by law) to go outside, and with 300 euros less on our bank acoount.
Thank you for everything, The Camden Hotel.
