Nice location, good service

I stayed at Radisson Harbor View this August and I would recommend to people looking for a place in Duluth. The location is good as it is very close to the tourist area and harbor. The service was excellent, Lindsay at housekeeping went above and beyond. It was also the only property on the North Shore that let me travel with my pet which was fantastic! The only reasons that I gave 4 stars is because it is an older building so a couple things were under repair and there aren't enough outlet/USBs available compared to some newer properties and the parking can be challenging at certain times of day.
Won’t go back

We paid $410 a night because of a concert we didn’t know about, didn’t even get a whirlpool, elevators were very noisy and one broke down during our stay, food up top was tasteless, water for the shower wouldn’t stay at one temp, the carpets were very worn out, could use many updates, they ran out of water so we had to go buy some bottles for our room, and they didn’t clean our room once during our stay. We did not use the “do not disturb” sign. If I could rate it at a negative I would. I would not pay more than $125 a night if I were to go back. But I definitely wouldn’t even look at that hotel again.
Save you money

Checked in for a nearby hockey camp during weekdays and found old UN maintained building. Wait long times for elevators, small rooms, very dirty, air conditioning is as loud as a train. View is nice of lake/city

It was disgusting inside and there was a homeless man trying to sleep outside our door. The rooms were gross and dark and the elevators were scary, they creak and drop. Also, the parking lot was absolutely fikty. there was garbage all over the place and giant deep puddles of water everywhere.
Be prepared for getting burned in the shower

1st off, I couldn't let me kids shower. Even getting the water between cold & scalding to a warm was hard. But then during my shower it would all of a sudden get scalding hot and the freezing cold before going back to normal. What year do they live in?! Get a regulator. If my kid had gotten hurt I'd be furious. But I didn't let them shower after my experience. The beds were okay, pillows not great, but the worst part of the room was to have the A/C on was insanely loud. Plus there were random clicking noises the whole stay. The bathrooms are weird because if the circle shape. Keep the toilet lid closed because it is literally under the sink and one wrong move will dump things in the toilet. I didn't pick this hotel. It was a priceline express deal thing where they pick the hotel for you but you pay a lower price. I should have picked on my own because I had seen this one already got bad reviews. I was disappointed that out of like 8 possibilities I got this one. I never saw the breakfast. The restaurant on the top wasn't open until like 9 for breakfast. That is half way to lunch for most people. The staff were nice, the location good too.
