Worst vacation ever
Pros: Every staff member I encountered was pleasant. We needed maintenance on the last night for a clogged toilet and he came within 10 minutes. Cons: I rented 2 rooms: a larger studio(room 332) and a 2 bedroom suite (room 250). When we entered the 2 bedroom suite there was a dead roach on the tile in front of the fireplace. I didn’t panic because it was dead but later that night we saw 2 live roaches. We searched the room and found a knife and some type of drug paraphernalia under the mattress. I texted the front desk around 11pm through the app to tell them and I received a call on the room phone. I was informed that there was only 1 studio suite left so my party of 4 had to sleep in a studio for the night until the next day when another 2 bedroom became available. The studio (room 230) did not have any bedding available for the sofa bed and when I texted the front desk I was told I had to come and get it, so at midnight I had to get in the car and drive to the front desk for bedding. Also, while searching the new room for bugs we discovered mold under the sink. Since the hotel was sold out we had no other option than to stay in the room with the mold. The front desk personnel asked me to email the pictures of the knife, paraphernalia, and mold to the manager. I have not received a reply and it’s been 7 days. The next day the new room (our 3rd room, room 245) was available around 5pm and we moved our things to the new room. We forgot my sons chicken nuggets in the freezer but couldn’t remember in which room so we went back to the studio room and it had already been cleaned out and the mold was still under the sink. We then proceeded to the original room (with the roaches) and it was already occupied and our key cards STILL WORKED! I did not feel safe. I travel about 30 days a year and have never encountered these type of issues . I will NEVER stay at a Marriott property again!
DO NOT STAY HERE EVEN FOR A DAY!
My girlfriend and I came from NYC to help a family friend who’s husband just passed away so we offered to drive a UHaul of all her stuff back to Brooklyn, NY. We flew in Friday and stayed there overnight to drive back home 7am the next day. Someone stole our UHaul the one night we were there. We STRONGLY feel that the hotel was in on it, they have 0 cameras on the premises, they did not take our card for incidentals, their patrol service ends at midnight when most crimes happen during at night not during the day, did not give us a parking pass, and we’re the only people on earth that knew we had a packed 26’ truck arriving for one night. It’s like we were there as ghosts! The floor manager that checked us in was also from NYC and told us that the spot it’s in was okay (end of lot by the road with bad lighting) and the general manager Amanda Baker is the rudest most inconsiderate person in the whole hospitality industry. Not only did she do nothing to help, she harassed us by constantly calling us to check out or extend our stay, said she has no responsibility to protect her guests, and after the women came and cried that all of her deceased husband’s belongings were in that truck Amanda still asked for a card to extend our stay and threatened to call police and say we’re trespassing. A grieving woman she wanted to call the cops on. Amanda and her staff do not wear masks even when confronting people face to face, she is the most arrogant and heartless “manager” we’ve ever encountered and I truthfully urge you and your family/friends to follow her advice to us and “stay anywhere else, you are no longer welcome here, and there is even a hotel across the street go there”. I hold back cursing whenever I think of her and this place so please know this is a real review from the weekend of 2/19/21 and there is no reason for whoever reads this to still stay here. They don’t protect you, their own employees, and even if your partner gets murdered on premises not only is there no video help they will call you to check out or extend your stay. Ruthless people that don’t care about anything but money. Might as well rest assured across the street where there’s cameras and at the very least a mask-wearer not getting potentially every guest sick with her lack of judgement. Thanks for reading and don’t ever stay here. Please.
Nice place to stay
I was impressed with how clean and nice this hotel was. I had read many reviews from different sources and was worried about what we might be getting ourselves into. I was pleasantly surprised that many of the reviews were not our experience. We stayed in a 2 room, 2 bath with living and kitchen suite. The beds were extremely comfortable-I loved the bed! Bathrooms were small but nice, updated and very clean. Toiletries were nice quality and full size. Water pressure was adequate and heated up quickly. Kitchen was stocked with essential items like plates, cups, silverware and the staff at the front desk was wonderful in getting us anything that wasn’t in the room. All employees we interacted with were very professional and friendly. They were also very upfront with Covid restrictions (not coming in to rooms for cleaning daily) but anything we needed towels, trash changing, vacuuming all we had to do was ask. Grab and go breakfast was available in the main building and was a nice selection for again COVID restrictions. Oh and the coffee was good, not yuck like so many other hotel breakfast areas. We stayed a week and would stay here again in the future.
Hotel was alright
I stayed here in July and the room was alright. The hallways smelled horrid because they had a flood i believe they said, but it was bad. The room was decent, very regular. I called the front desk to to figure out how to connect my laptop to the TV because it wasn't working while when I tried and no one called me back.I'm not sure I would stay there again. The elevator
Neglected
I have never stayed in a bad Residence Inn until this one. While the site says the property is renovated, it is lacking in attention. The first thing was the elevator was out of order the entire 5 day stay. Washer out of order in guest laundry. The kitchen did not have an oven, or a toaster for cooking. Dishes from previous occupants were left in the dishwasher. No dishtowel/soap to do dishes. The television constantly shut off and their remedy was to tell me to unplug it and wait a bit, and replug. While doing this, found a roach on the table. Hardly any channels to watch. Shower took at least 7-10 minutes for warm water every time. If you should happen to check out a day early, they will charge you for it.
