Rooms are lovely, nicely presented and clean. Excellent food and helpful staff. Breakfast was fab! Price is reasonable A really lovely place. Would definitely stay again. Convenient to access from the motorway.

Stayed at Townhead Hotel 11th October, we were made so welcome by Stephen and his staff, the place is beautifully decorated and has food to die for. We will definitely be visiting again soon. Can't recommend highly enough.
Late lunch
We visited as a 2 household family with an 8 month old baby, excellent COVID precautions in place. Could not have made us more welcome provided high chair. Excellent meals fish & Chips and steak and Ale pie. Reasonably priced. We travel regularly from Boston to Highlands will be using this hotel as a stopover.
Pleasant surprise
I was looking for somewhere to have lunch on way back north and popped into Lockerbie from the M74 Spotted the Townhead Hotel at the top of the town and from the outside it looked clean and freshly decorated. Parked in their private car park at the side of the building and noticed they had a couple of electric charging points Inside the hotel, It looks as though it has been recently renovated and was lovely and clean. The staff were nice and welcoming and were observing the present covid instructions to the letter. I ordered the steak and ale pie which was priced at £12 and it arrived along with fresh veg and a good sized helping of chips and pastry top. The meat in the pie was plentiful and delicious and the ale gravy was lovely. Added bonus when I went to pay was to find out there was 20% discount on Mon-wed All in all I had a lovely meal and would certainly return if in the area again Well done Townhead Hotel

Lovely staff and excellent food . A perfect stay, nice bar area and restaurant and very friendly staff. our room was spotless with tea/ coffee facilities. Even if you don't stay, go for the food especially the steak. So good we tried to book for a second night but not surprisingly it was full.
